I also mildly rage at the inability to perceive something as unnecessary, or at least needing improvement, regardless of whether or not the person gets mad over it.

I don't like the Brony "community" either. First of all, My Little Pony is mediocre at best even by 10-year-old cartoon standards. But if a person wants to like it, fine, whatever. Where the Bronies tend to annoy me is the cloppers, the persecution complex, ponification memes, & the egos. It doesn't help that all of this stuff basically killed my favorite forum.

I don't really give a shit about PewDiePie one way or the other. He doesn't seem that bad. His videos, on the other hand....

Is it seriously to the point that the creators are just posting links to their channels before even putting a single video out? This is the third one I've seen tonight. Gah. What the fuck. I can't wait till we get to TH my game, this myhos needs some actual writing/talent/indie quality instead of just 'oh herp derp kids with a camera'. How about some of us actually hire some actors and stuff? Turn the mythos upside down by being professional-ish, or having an actual written script. Oi. I know other vlogs have done this, but it hasn't been for a good while (excluding OurGodEvil because omg the production quality on that one is fantastic)

 		Are bronies really that bad? I mostly just watch MLP without dealing with the community/fanbase, but I've seen bronies post critiques of episodes on Youtube that were generally well received without butthurt shrieking or anything drastic.

Depends on what you consider "that" bad. There's a LOT of fetishization for the ponies. I even saw a blog from one weirdo who, with all sound mind, seriously claims he's dating his stuffed Twilight Sparkle.

Other than that, I suppose it's rather subjective. I personally consider them more annoying than Twitards, because Twitards didn't "Twilightify" everything else on the internet. But you could also point out that some Twitards were known to actually assault people.
