Hello, I came here for a different reason however I started reading this and immediately became interested.

I'm not sure how much of this is already known but I went to some of the bag sites listed in goldenstork. All of the ones that I've been to have been owned by polybags according to whois. One of the first I went to was http://www.bagsuppliers.co.uk/ and I found that the image comes from http://www.stumbledupon.com/bags/packing-bags/packing-bags.jpg, as are a few others from other bag sites. Other bag sites link to goldenstork or one of the goldenstork bag sections. Also of note is that a few of the bag sites such as http://www.compostbag.co.uk/ whois claims to be owned by mangolab while most other ones have claimed to be owned by polybags. This means that the polybag sites are linked to stumbledupon and the mangolab sites. I'm not sure what this means but polybags is a real company. I went to http://www.polybags.co.uk/map_m.htm and using this address, I went to google street view which not only has a factory at the location but has a sign that says "Polybags" and has a logo next to it. You could probably even order stuff from this site.

If the stumbledupon image link doesn't work then the image is the one on the bagsuppliers site with the woman with the red hair. I'm not sure who she is but she appears in various images throughout the bag sites.

I also found this site http://www.manta.com/ic/mvtx34m/gb/mangolab-ltd, the address it lists is nothing more than a residential home.

Also two different people own the sites, Andy Daniels owns the mangolab sites while someone named Jonathan Davies owns the polybag sites (or at least mailingbags, that's the only one that I looked at where the whois profile shows a name other than Polybags, Ltd, however the listed location is the same.) I don't what connection their connection is but they're not the same person.

Also, Jonathan Davies is a founder of http://www.muchloved.com.

Edit-So is Andy Daniels http://www.muchloved.com/gateway/muchloved-background.htm this could not be related to the game at all though and could just be an attempt at self sdvertising within the game. Polybags and Mangolab are listed in the sponsors section though http://www.muchloved.com/gateway/muchloved-supporters.htm

I also have no experience with ARGs but this does seem to be quite huge.

I'm not sure how much of this has been known or how much of it matters but I find it interesting.

FUUUUUUUUUU.

Thanks for putting some new eyes on this, I don't think anyone had found the MuchLoved thing. Here's some problems/possibilities:

One or both of these guys have intertwined this ARG so much with their real careers that it's almost indistinguishable.

We're WAY off base, since an apparently legitimate charity and polybag factory are pretty damn hard to work into an ARG.

The trail ended at stumbledupon or goldstork and we're searching for meaning in a universe where there is no meaning.

Cheers, I'll see what I can find.

I think I have it....
StumbledUpon

I figured all info given was given for a reason, and I noticed we weren't using the John Trapp info enough relative to how many times it's used in the puzzle. John's birthday is June 5th, notice the goldstork link and how the convo starts/takes place the morning after June 5th 1999. Now we know we need to reference a time as well as date and it needs to be something noticible.. Venus will transit the sun on June 5th 2012 and wont happen again for over a hundred years.. last time it happened was June 8th 2004. Funny June 8th 2004 is referenced in the Goldstork convo Smile So we have our date: 6/5/2012 and a place: mangolab.com. Time? well the transit can be seen while the sun is up on the 5th and 6th, so maybe sunrise and sunset is important or any time inbetween...

I just read this. I haven't been on here in a while. Did you, by any chance, check out mangolab on June 5?

An idea about that "A"

hey guys...

i do have one idea that hasn't been tried yet (as far as i know)...

on the mangolab homepage, in the upper left, it scrolls through the letters in mangolab one at a time.

M .... A ..... N .... G... O... etc...

perhaps one is meant to click on one of those single "A"s at the right time (meaning when the number tumblers are alligned) ?

i haven't messed with my tumblers at all yet, so haven't tried this theory. maybe one of you who knows how to allign those numbers can test this out?

also, for what it's worth...
a previous post mentioned the link in all of these tangled, interconnected sites to a site that memorializes princess di. i looked at that link, as well as another link to one of the overseers of that site:

http://www.webring.com/profile?y=alicorna;def=y

could this be a fake profile? if so, it may be loaded with hints. look at her posts on this page about codes, etc. is there anything in there that's viable?

i'm looking for any foothold i can find... and unfortunately, i'm not a programmer, just a puzzle head!

let me know what you think.
Confused

This topic is really intriguing me cos I've arrived from the suggestion of its url when googling around and researching about 'deep web' and what not. (which is a very interesting world.)

What IS this site???

I weirdly can't find it now, but I saw some blog site mention the url alongside another one, pointing to sites pointing to great and wonderful deep web content not normally indexed by the likes of google.

But maybe it's just a troll and it's merely referring to the (well known) -d url?
