So, early this morning (at home) I got an alert from the app that said "You got 20 points at IMAX!" This isn't showing as a mission on the app and I haven't gotten prescreening tickets, so I was confused. I saw Top Gun last Saturday at the Pacific Science Center IMAX theater (in Seattle) so I thought this may have been what triggered it for some reason. If that wasn't odd enough, when I was leaving the theater, through Seattle Center, there was a patch of grass that had some sort of symbols dug into it that vaguely resembled the Romulan hill writing from the last ARG. At the time, I made the connection, but didn't think much of it because 1. No sort of hints have been discovered that would've suggested a connection 2. Why would they rehash something from the previous ARG and 3. Random "art" like that pops up around Seattle all the time. But after I got that alert this morning, a legitimate connection arose that made me wonder.

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else received this alert? Also, I would be more than happy to go back to the center to investigate further and take pictures if anybody thinks its worthwhile.

I would say it wouldn't hurt to go get some snaps of it and let us tear into it. Something certainly was triggered.

Perhaps they really hide at these point places some hints? (weak hope)

 So sad...

(Kind of off topic)... I haven't been getting notices that there are new posts in this thread, is there a crying smiley?

(Back on-topic)...
Any more news about the Seattle IMAX (hidden) points? Also, was wondering if this is a thing that was local only to Seattle or if any other IMAX theatres have done something similar.

I keep on checking areyouthe1701.com I must admit, though, that I am slacking on that, not checking every day/couple of times a day like I did when it was first announced or when some of our theorized 'dates' have rolled around.
*sigh*

Hmmm... maybe this means we should be looking for clues around the SF and NYC missions? I'll be heading into the city tomorrow so if the Seattle clue pans out, I'll try to check the toy fair for weird writings Razz

I too woke up to a push notification that I got points for the IMAX mission, it was only 10 though. I was shown a map of my local IMAX here in Silver Spring, MD.

EDIT: The Kre-o mission is now fixed, I just scanned the first toy image and was awarded the points.

So great. No San Fran or New York points for me and no IMAX points for me since I'm 100's of miles away from one. Whats the point of playing now?

Checking in

I have not had any new missions to my android application since about the day after super bowl except for the screening sweepstates entries every day or so. The new updates the app is working but no new missions.

Not sure what to do thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling but I thought some one said it resets - I am currently Chief Petty Officer 62/90 but seem stuck there

Also hoping the ARg gets gointgI am not sure the App is really related yet but we will see.

Ok now back to Lerking Smile

Howdy all!

Haven't been on unfiction in what feels like forever, but if anything is going to drag me out of lurk-dom it's a Star Trek ARG.

My husband and I are on hand with any ST knowledge you need, as it's always nice to have an excuse to prove to people just how sad, I mean, knowledgable, we really are. Wink

I believe for the last ST ARG, it only ran in the month or so preceeding the film launch? Which really just makes me think it's odd that the website was revealed so early. Still, maybe they are looking at the data of the people who sign up and trying to match their 'real world' locations up to the locations of the players. That would be good; it was exciting last time to see locations in different countries with staged scenes in.

Anyway, here's to hoping something starts soon. Smile

I'm sure its pure coincidence, but here are some shots of those symbols at the Seattle Center. I wandered around for about 30min or so attempting to investigate further, but its impossible to look for something when you have no clue what you're looking for. So, any thoughts on the symbols? Anyone else seen anything strange at their local IMAX? Has anyone else even gotten the "You got 20 points at IMAX!" notification?

I got the IMAX 20 points as well (in Dallas). Not sure how. Never saw the "Romulan" symbols.

Could've driven past it.
