Not quite sure if this belongs in a thread or not.

Itw hunger games, obviously..The password requirement suggests possible ARG, but it may just be viral? I just glanced at the source code, but the only thing that sticks out is an Instagram site..

so...thoughts?

~~~~~ it was indeed not the right location. That thread for meant to determine if an email or IM was a trailhead or spam, not if something is just a viral or a full ARG. Merged this into the other thread on topic. ~ Pixie

 		sigh.... every "viral" isn't a trail. there is no puzzle to solve, no rabbit hole to fall down. They did the same type of thing for the last movie - you sign up at their website via facebook, get an "id" and spam your friends.

There is a slight "puzzle" though. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. The http://capitolcouture.pn/ has a passcode puzzle embedded in the geometric pattern.

Found the hi-res poster on http://www.panempropaganda.com/news/2013/2/22/victory-tour-posters.html and even though there is a lot of old traditional branding, its definitely in the "not a game" tone

 		I stand corrected on the one puzzle, but I strongly disagree on the TINAG tone you claim to see. I see a sidebar of the official twitter account with posts about the oscars and Jennifer. Sure, the main chunk of the site is what one could call "in character" but that hardly "not a game" tone makes. Most of the site is more than obviously 4th wall breaking, to the point that there isn't a 4th wall.

 		Panempropaganda is an old site probably left over from the old campaign with few recent updates. It seems more like one of the many places they seeded with an in-character press release. The couture site looks a little more promising. Also has hidden links to tumbler and Instagram on it

Not saying you're wrong but I'd expect this one to be a little arg-lite even if it is one. Probably marketing heavy. The movie is still mostly aimed at kids and teens

The "victory tour"'posters seem to suggest an event of some type. The site mentioned march 4

 		I'm placing PanemPropaganda.com firmly in the fan-site category, primarily because it's stated clearly on the bottom of the page. True they may receive some exclusive content like the high-res posters, but IMO they're not directly involved with the viral content. Just another channel to get marketing material out to the fans.

Also, according to capitolcouture on Instagram somethings gonna happen on March 4th.

I'm guessing the chair is President Snow's..when he visits Katnss in the Victors Village..to tell her about the rebellion in th other villages because of her.

The more I read, the more I'm with the ARG-lite crew. Maybe March 4th will bring something different.

 		Seems like I found this just in time... Almost March 4th already!

Also seems like this is tying into the stuff from the last movie... the tumblr references the website and from the last movie, at least.

Just to add...if you were signed up to receive emails during the first hunger games movies, you (should) automatically will get these emails.

There was more than just the uprising. They did wind up back in the arena. If there is an ARG, it could do with what was revealed in the last 50 or so pages of the book..that whole District 13 thing..
