Reunion weekend invitation!

I've been cordially invited to Innsbruck Academy's reunion weekend this summer! Can't wait for more info...

Innsbruck Academy cordially invites you to this summer's reunion weekend!

Once again being hosted by the alumni committee, this year's reunion looks to be something special, as it is the 25th Anniversary of the reopening of our fantastic boarding school here in beautiful central Vermont. The events for reunion weekend have not yet been finalized, but I have been told that we will be hosting an award-winning author from Northern Maine! And there will, as always, be dances, seances, and other exciting activities to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

So SAVE THE DATE! The reunion is to take place on May 10-11, and we would like to see as many of you as possible! Remember your alma mater!

[TRAILHEAD] Innsbruck Academy

So, a kickass friend of mine just dropped a trailhead email in my direction. I'm a firm believer in the curtain, so although i *do* know who the PM is, I don't really intend on sharing. This is a grassroots game.

~~~~~ removed email, isn't needed twice ~
Kinda hoping that alumni "weekend" doesn't involve a live meet... I'll be recovering from a c-section. Anyway, this preggo lady only had a moment to look around, gotta make dinner! will check back in a bit.
~~~~~ oh for eff sake.... LOL i bet we started posting at the same time, because your post wasn't here when i posted mine Wink MERGED!

Lovecraft related?. Innsbruck and Innsmouth connection? and deff see Cthulhu or a Great old one or minnion in two of the paintings by Geoffrey Palmer. and the whole place seems a little creepy, almost too perfect. The academy was also founded by Zalia Olmstead Robert Olmstead was in " The Shadow over Innsmouth" by Lovecraft. I emailed for an admissions packet, can't wait to see what I get, if anything.
I aslo followed Joe Palmer ‏@fraglordjoe on Twitter. he seems to be writing from the Academy.. .

*** EDIT***
Joe Palmer has FB. facebook.com/fraglordjoe

He also is Tweeting with Phoebe Anders @pandersto who also goes to Innsbruck.
They are talking about Joe's new roomie, Travis May who appeared suddenly and seems to have books on magic and summoning Angels and was worried that Joe was reading the book outloud. ( I dont like where thats going lol)

I love the Cthulhu Mythos...and the art by Geoffrey Palmer is especially riveting...

sunken dreams...

...the Threshold...

my word! I hope there is more art where that came from!

Count me in! I think! Maybe! Should I e-mail them about joining the academy? Or maybe insist that I am an alumni who wasn't put upon the list and I am very irate that my friend, Bill, who was given a lesser academic award for his "meager" efforts at the school received his invitation but not me! Twisted Evil

Ahem. Anyway.

CATS!

Most, if not all of the Staff & Faculty own a cat. An earlier Lovecraft work is The Cat's of Ulthar and at one point he wrote an essay Cats and Dogs about how cats are better than dogs.
Not that we needed further Lovecraft connections, but there it is.

Also the Director of Studies is named Enoch Bowen.

Navigated via the Campus Tour onto the Our History page to meet "Herbert May, who...ensured the continued success of the academy." A relative of Travis May?

ETA: Maybe Meta yet inside the EXIF info of the Rhygazengoro JPEG is the word 'R'lyeh' which is H. P. Lovecraft's famous lost city.

Totally missed the cats. I'll have to read that book. Also I would love to know what Keeper of the Key Thurber Wilson does exactly and what trouble he is preventing.

I don't know what 'Keeper of the Key' means in regards to Innsbruck, but it is the title of a song from H. P. Lovecraft, an American psychedelic rock band from 1967 off their 'H. P. Lovefracft II' LP album.

I would assume if you drop an email in as an alumni you will be added to the mailing list. The only reason the people who got the trailheads did so was because the PM knows us/our emails. It isn't a "personal" game. Smile

The most well known author I know from Maine is Jessica Fletcher... If she turns up you can guarantee someone is getting murdered. Wink
