 		Isn't the lack of distortion the clearest indication that The Operator wasn't present? If he was really standing there that close to Jay then the camera would have been going nuts.

 		The blurry, reflected light thing that looks kind of like the Operator in that screen grab literally only looks like the Operator in that one frame. In every other frame it just looks like a blurry, reflected light.

There was no video distortion, no audio distortion and no coughing. I'm going to say that there was also no Operator.

Yeah, that's a reason against the Operator being there that's actually valid. I agree, there'd at least be some degree of distortion if the Operator were there.

 		Seriously guys, if they really wanted us to see it they would have made it a lot clearer, there's no TO and most probably there's nothing relevant in the TV, stop that shit.

Admit it, if we weren't picking each entry apart and scouring it for even the most unlikely of hidden details, then we wouldn't be doing our jobs as MH fans and Unfiction users.

It's just what we do.

That's the only instance in the entire series that's the case, and if you can find another one I'll admit I'm wrong. And in that situation the operator wasn't even visible, it was only a shadow they were trying to convey

^ This. Yeah, maybe there's like a 10% chance Oppy is actually there but who cares? If people want to speculate or just examine screenshots just to make sure then fine. Not like there's really much else left to talk about for this entry

 		There's no distortion at all in a lot of season 1. Entries 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, 14, 17 (at points), etc. Then again, it's season 1 which we know was made before they had a clear direction. I've never claimed he is absolutely there in this entry, and the more I watched the less convinced I was, but it's always good to have secondary opinions right? I only posted the image for clarity. Chances are strong that he isn't there, but I wasn't the only one who thought this.

list of things they didn't make obvious in an entry, that people noticed, but everyone shot them down and told them to stop overthinking things:

Foreshadowing of the Bruce incident (him leaning by the car smoking)

Operators shadow in the hotel

totheark in the background of tim and jays argument

entry #13 at 1:02 you can see the operator for a split second and you can't really pause at that point.

Not to mention all the unconfirmed ones. Like the operators "voice" when they were in the basement of doom and all the numerous possible sightings.

So yeah, at minimum there were 3 occurrences...

 		I really wanted it to be the operator, but if you watch it, it is clearly just lights. Unless they edited his image in for one frame, which I doubt

 		I see the Noterator in the reflection. I suspect it was one of those "yea let's go with it" things, sort of like the shadow going through Alex's head. Not that they decided "sure Operator" but "sure leave it there, watch people freak". They are now laughing at us. XD

One instance is all it takes to disprove the rule of thumb you tried to enforce. Whether it was the Operator himself or a shadow is irrelevant, there was something they put there that wasn't clearly visible. You're wrong about this whether you admit it or not. The "if it was there, it would be clearly visible" argument is false in regards to this series, plain and simple.
