Bad form is bad form, it isn't "bad form for some". He doesn't get a free pass simply because he got info you wanted. Rolling Eyes That isn't how "bad form" works. It's bad form to ask out your best friend's girlfriend right after they break up - just because she says yes doesn't make it any less bad form. Rolling Eyes There is such a thing as a curtain, and while it is highly true these days that it is far from the iron curtain it was way back almost 10 years ago when I started playing, it's still *bad form* to pester the teams. Any veteran ARG player will agree.

And you are right, he didn't have to answer - and he didn't answer, not really, he said it in the most ambiguous of terms leading simply to "stay tuned" - his response was nothing more than a "the audience is waning, must make them cling around" response. But I digress...

I'm sure the sign ups on 1707 started so early to try to get as much hype as possible. Should they have done something more with their pregame? In my opinion, yes, but it is doubtful they will have any trouble with the audience because of it. Just look at the app - it is crap, and people do nothing but complain about it, but most people won't stop using it. I for one deleted it, because it was quite worthless {unless you care about the sweepstakes}, and know that if/when anything ARG related shows up on it everyone will post at once about it as if it is new info anyway. That's the great part about collaborative gaming - a blessing and a curse. In the mean time, the app will just be about publicizing their own work & the promotional efforts of others in a scratch each other's back way for THOSE businesses {buy our DVDs, buy the magazine our story is in, go to places we will someday show the movie}.

When the ARG starts, we will know it. Something will change somewhere with meaning.

I agree that pestering someone is "bad form" as you put it. However, unless you can see something that I can't, ML never pestered Roberto Orci.

ML sent one message to Roberto Orci - "When can we expect the viral to start?" And Roberto Orci replied "any second". I don't consider that to be bad form as you do. So let's agree to disagree.

I'm not a huge fan of ML. However I for one am grateful that someone asked the question, and that Roberto Orci was generous enough to reply to him.

At the very least we know that the ARG (if it is one) hasn't started yet - which is a common worry among most ARG-ers.

Nup! Nothing apart from the occasional "heated" discussion! Very Happy

"Any second" now, according to Roberto Orci though.

I knew there was a reason that this forum got ditched by most of the fans the last game. ST ARG's are not like the others.

You can't compare last game to this one. I've played ARGs that have lasted only a week or two..there is still plenty of time for a game.

Just chill. Y'all are acting like two year olds at waiting for Christmas .

I mean, it has been 4 years since the first one... and after Enterprise the franchise's future seemed pretty uncertain, so... yeah... I'm definitely feeling a little impatient. Wink

Ah yes, special snowflake disorder strikes again Rolling Eyes And on that note.... I'll go back to lurking until there is actual action {not just crappy app stuff} and Moderating the forums.

maybe this is part of the arg! The evil guy is planting seeds of grief and anger. Causing is to destroy ourselves from the inside. Our mission is to overcome it and help destroy his evil schemes?

Anyone have a pic from twitter for the latest mission? Need a pic of the space station, but there is nothing remotely close to the displayed pic on the phone app. Nothing even close to a space station pic at all on the site.... unless you need to dig months back of pics or tweets....

another disappointment....

In case anyone needs it, here's the NASA pic that scanned for me for the Twitter app mission for the view of San Francisco from the space station.

That one worked like a charm. Didn't even get the app targets loaded and it went off.
