And my response about Camelback Mountain:

Remember, the memo says to get out of the heat when you're done. Maybe that means out of Phoenix altogether?

Mount Wise, maybe, teh_lisa?

It is the highest point on Brown Peninsula. Dunno

I'll keep looking.

Antarctica seem like quite a long ways away. I guessed the Space Needle, which also has a kitchen in it and runs on a track to go up and down? It is just so vague.

New post on the wordpress.
Quote:
Anna, Clara, and Martin quickly retreated to a little coffee shop on the second floor of the terminal.

"What do we do now?" Clara asked as Anna ate the whipped cream off of her hot chocolate.

Martin sipped his coffee thoughtfully. "First of all, let's not panic. This is really just the tip of the iceberg. We don't know who this woman is, how she died, and how or even if she has anything to do with your father."

Anna licked her spoon and shrugged. "Let's just ask around. Everyone seems pretty nice. We just tell them we want to talk to someone about it. Maybe someone there is a friend of hers."

* * *

Back at the ticket counter they asked around until a woman named Marcia told them that June's twin sister Jenna worked at America West. She said that Jenna could give them more information about how June died.

"It will be nice for Jenna to hear from friends of June," Marcia said. "We've all been really bad about staying in touch with Jenna since June died. Mainly because they are…were…identical twins. It's kind of creepy going over there and seeing her. It's like seeing a ghost."

Also I received this in reply to a wrong guess about the next location.

No problem! You are incorrect but thank you so much for your hard work.

Anna, Clara, and Martin will be leaving Phoenix after visiting three people/places. The wise one is not in Phoenix, but at a higher elevation.

So we need one more place/person in Pheonix before we move on to the wise one part of the clue it seems.

Emailed Sylvana about the Suns connection and got this back when the stadium was still hot.

Spoon: Does Anna's father follow basketball?

Sylvana: Spoon,

That's a great question. We don't know, but it might be interesting to find out.

We see where you are headed with this question and want to tell you that you're going in the right direction, although there may be a few detours along the way.

Love Always,

The highest point in an airport outside of a airplane is the air traffic control tower. Could this be where our wise man is hiding?

Bang Head I failed to realize just exactly where Mount Wise was...wow...sorry about that!

The Space Needle sounds like a better guess. Laughing

The Cardkeepers update titled "Call Sign Cactus" is exciting & looks to be quite important, esp. for those here who are Tarot proficient. Plus:

To keep us tracking Laughing when I also sent an incorrect locale guess Winter Sylvana wrote:
You have already found the center of the track-tion. You sent us the address Smile

Another hint: Flagstaff is at 7,000 feet.

Call Sign Cactus
March 6, 2013

Jenna looked at them warily but told them she would be getting off at 6:00 and would meet them at the coffee shop. She showed up exactly on time and sat down, clutching her purse and looking uneasy.

"My sister was a friend of your family? And I don't know you? That seems highly unlikely. Tell me the real reason you're here."

Martin glanced at Clara and Anna before handing her the memo. She looked confused for a minute and then went completely pale.

"Don't tell me you're messed up with this whole Devin Collins situation. That's what got my sister killed."

Anna blurted out, "This Devin Collins situation is my father! What do you know about him? He's been missing since last July."

Clara put a calming hand on Anna's arm and smiled at Jenna. "We found a bunch of strange stuff in my father's office and we're just trying to figure some stuff out. My sister here likes to play Nancy Drew. We certainly didn't mean to pry into your life or upset you."

Jenna sighed. "Look, you all are just a bunch of kids. My advice to you would be to go home and get on with your life. I'm sorry about what happened to your father, but it's really for the best. The last thing we need right now is for the Keepers to be active again."

Martin leaned forward and practically whispered, "Who are the Keepers?"

"If you have to ask, you're better off not knowing."

Anna held out the little cactus. "Do you know what this means?"

Jenna smiled. She reached out and took the cactus. "I haven't seen this since…well…maybe you were supposed to come to me." She sighed again, this time more deeply. Then she rummaged around in her purse and took out a notebook. "OK, here's what we do now. I assume you have a deck?"

Anna nodded.

"OK, you get to submit one, and only one, card. You have two choices in terms of what you choose to submit. You can choose to stop everything, right now, and go back to your normal life, which is the option I highly suggest, or you can choose to move forward and go deeper, which I warn you is quite risky. Either way I will give you your next set of information and directions, after I have the card."

Are we to submit our next card? Following the fool's journey in order, we are at number 3, the Emperess. That would be my suggestion, thoughts anyone?

Wow, this is getting exciting! Wonderful storytelling. I unfortunately have no card suggestion, but suggest we talk about it as a group first. Don't wanna submit the wrong card *gulp* and stop everything. Smile

*Gulp* is too right, ditto on the superb story telling & exposition and a card consensus sounds logical. (being not too Tarot savvy will lurk with a passion now) Laughing

I think we need strength; courage, patience, determination and action according to the meanings page from the blog.

I'll happily be persuaded otherwise though. Smile

Judging from Mr T-belles illustrations, that'd be yours Wink

However, The High Priestess description from the Rider-Waite Tarot Card Meanings-page on the Card Keepers blog seems to pretty much sum up where we'd like this to go atm:
Quote:
Surprising and unexpected revelations may by coming. The High Priestess card represents illumination, knowledge and truth.

But then again, a few other cards would work aswell:
Hierophant - Helping the subject understand the correct path... One who enlightens.... This card also represents joining and accepting.
The Lovers - Following the heart. Trust. Relationship. Responsibility. Commitment.
The Chariot - Also, often relates to travel. A trip or a move may be coming soon. Traditionally, journeys, exploration, conquest, control.
Death - Transformation and Rebirth. A stern and unwavering messenger heralding change that is inevitable and is coming soon.... This is a card of new beginnings. An old building is demolished so that a new and better one may be constructed.
Judgement - Major decisions which may result in major lifestyle changes. Traditionally, renewal, awakenings, repentance, change.

Take your pick.

so i am assuming that everyone wants to continue deeper into the game..

Something catches me when they say they highly suggest we go back to normal life.

we could make them return home to something even more interesting...

just throwing that in there.
