-Evan seems like Evan to me. If HABIT was just pretending in the last video why would he drag this out longer? He could kill Vinnie right then and there.
-Evan is immortal now.
-Team Hybrid is back together....in a way.
-Wrench=Bioshock reference?
-I never played or watched Pokemon. Was that hate the same ghost character Evan had on a shirt once as HABIT?
-Where do we go from here? Evan & Vin go find Mrs. Corenthal?

 		Wait... does this seriously confirm the Death-Iteration Theory?
Also,

definitely Evan, there, and when he said "nothing changed", I can't believe I'm saying this but, I think we can assume Evan knows something that we don't now- namely a confirmation that they have to stop the past from repeating.

 		few notes:

literal translation of the title "Spirit of the Staircase"

Even is uninHABITed (or he would have killed Vinnie)

Fought the rake in the woods and presumably died (after killing it? "I held it's head in my hands"? but this would also mean the rake is like a chicken and can live after its head been cut off "It's body kept fucking moving")

However, Habit took control of Evan "I wasnt even wearing this, he changed and put it on", and had him "healed" (either by iteration or maybe a power of HABIT

HABIT clearly wants Even alive for some reason (but then why is he not possesing Even now?)

 		This definitely seems like evidence towards the Iteration theory. I wonder if this means that Jeff can come back. Also, I'm still hoping we somehow get to see Evan's fight with the Rake.

 		I don't think it's so simple as Evan being okay/uninHABITed. Isn't it possible HABIT is just screwing with him in the worst way possible? By making him think he's alright?

Big-time iteration confirmation. Thank god.

So they actually have knowledge now. If Slenderman is somehow used as a clean-up piece – either permanently killing them or trapping them in the candleverse – then it explains HABIT's deal with Slenderman. It'd also mean there's only Vinny and Evan left. But if Evan's truly uninHABITed at this point, I think they might have a shot.

 		Personally, I love that zoom sound. It's wonderfully atmospheric. Makes it viceral. Loved it ever since Next. Maybe it's just me.

 		I think Evan's regeneration is a result of him now being "the perfect shell" HABIT was looking for.

To be fair, they're making that premise especially horrifying by making characters who would actually rather be dead. I find the idea to be a fascinating subversion, so long as the story isn't three entries from ending or whatever.


Good entry. Things are remaining amazing in the world of EMH, as far as I'm concerned.

There's a pretty decent summary of its ideas, along with some (admittedly out of date) evidence in support. The Corenthal Letters play a pretty massive role, which is why this would be a pretty huge moment in the series if that's what they're implying.

I was thinking the same thing. I kind of find it suspect that HABIT (and his little video friend), Vin, and the thing creeping around waiting for Evan vs. Rake, all have a camera that makes the same sounds when it zooms.

The strange little candy sticker: Didn't Vin take Japanese? The episode when Jeff was abducted, didn't he find some of his homework from Japanese class in that notebook?

I feel like either Vin is in this in a way we don't really expect or someone is setting him up to take a pretty nasty fall.

As to the Iteration Theory theory being confirmed - I'm bouncing back to Jeff being alive again just stick in some sort of jail/limbo for the time being.

Edit: What did Evan mean by he tried to keep Vin safe?
Edit 2: Does Evan say, "He's embarrassed of me?" when he walks in the door?

 		What do you feel is out of date? Other than the line about not having seen any evidence for Alex reiterating (which we may have gotten in Next) everything seems fine. If anything the new video adds more evidence.
