Please don't talk about burritos around the preggo chick. Now I want a carne asada with extra onions and guac!

And so for the next time we are sending a card, my vote goes to a tomato.

No, but really. I get that it feels unfair if you don't get to participate in choosing a card, but this isn't that serious. Some people didn't get the chance to submit a photo/a drawing to get a clue. There will be other chances.

Laughing Ahaha Elethamei & lisa....indulge your inner self. Anyway, such a simple survey question but it really made me pause and think about it.

Oh, I am definitely having a burrito for dinner now.

I had to stop and think about 2 of the choices for a bit. I was a little torn, but one kept calling out to me so I went with that one. I don't think there is a right answer. I think it is all about interpretation and beliefs here.

As for voting, I seriously have tried to vote in the survey more than once a bunch of times now. Maybe you guys have super powers!

That must be the case! That is the only logical explanation, surely! Laughing

I clicked two options when I was making my first vote, not after the fact. I don't know which one it counted, though, and any attempt to change my response/play with the results is not working. Oops! Embarassed

I think it counted me among the majority (the 7 votes). Maybe. Possibly. I don't know. Drool

EDIT: I have had four burritos this week (sans tomato, sadly), so I should probably refrain from eating one tonight...but oh boy is my tummy a-rumble!

LOL Laughing
you know what I mean... noone had mentioned it yet I guess I was just eager to get the ball rolling...

I again am fascinated by synchronicity while playing this game:
1) among all this talk of voting, a random poll shows up on the blog and
2) my boyfriend, who is totally oblivious to this forum an somewhat to the cardkeepers in general, says to me a little while ago "let's do burritos for dinner"
Shocked

I'm clearly having a sheep evening as I just voted for the majority on the survey, and I'll throw my hat into the 24 hour ring for the general vote also. Any less and you're not really giving people in different time zones a chance to join in even if they're really active.

I'll also add a filling vote for bacon. Because, you know, bacon. Nom.

So we are up to:

24 hours = 6 votes

48 hours = 1 vote

I see burritos in our futures. The cards told me so. Yes, and Anna's dad actually just wants Anna to bring him a burrito. This entire script is about burritos. The next physical drop will take place in a Taco Bell. The Keeper program was a way for all burrito lovers to communicate their filling orders discreetly as not to arouse restaurant servers of their pickiness. And as for how burritos connect to Sylvia Plath? Well, she...

Looks like there is a facebook page somewheres. New blog post:

Quote:
Submitting a Card
March 8, 2013

We will return to our intrepid Anna next week when she and her company visit Professor Ellershaw at the archeological dig.

Dr. Ellershaw will ask Anna for three cards, and those cards will reveal three pieces of information about Devin Collins and the Card Keepers.

Card suggestions for Anna can be submitted here (in the comments section of this post) or via Facebook and/or Twitter. Only one submission per person, per platform (each person can submit a card to Facebook, Twitter, and/or the blog for a total of three submissions). The top six most submitted cards will be posted here and on Facebook for voting beginning Saturday, March 9th at Noon and ending Monday, March 11th at 5:00 P.M. Anna will present the three winning cards to Professor Ellershaw on Tuesday, March 12th.

Edited to add newer blog post:

Facing the Cards
March 8, 2013

The Card Keepers now have a Facebook page. This will serve a variety of purposes. Like Twitter, we will use it to post updates from the blog. It can also be a place of interaction and discussion. Finally, we plan to include some puzzles and games exclusive to Facebook and/or Twitter.

Our purpose in adding these tools is not to create more confusion or more work for the Card Keepers, and participation in these media is completely voluntary. Those interested in following and participating in Anna's story can continue to do so entirely through the blog and via email, especially those that wish to remain anonymous.

However, we've had some interesting discussions with various Keepers regarding their desire for more or less interaction and their desire to learn more about Tarot and the Card Keepers. Therefore, we'd like to provide additional information, resources, and puzzles for those Keepers who want to expand their learning and sharpen their minds.

However, whatever we post exclusively to Facebook and/or Twitter will have no direct impact on Anna's story or the ability to follow and participate in Anna's story.

We hope this new addition will enhance the Card Keeper experience.

I have emailed to ask a few questions:

1. are the 3 cards to be placed in the Celtic Cross spread or are they being used simply to influence events in the journey.

2. If they are to be placed in the spread, can we specify which spot they should be placed in when we submit them.
2a. If only some people specify placement in the spread will they be placed randomly?

3. Can we in fact submit reversed cards?

I know some people just want to have their card win. There is a lot more to tarot than that. I have a feeling, if these cards are to be placed in the spread, we have an chance to really change how things will go.

There is also a tarot reading that uses just 3 cards. It is much simpler than the celtic cros, for example. I wonder if that might be their use.

There's a hyperlink now on the Cardkeepers blog (Founded in 1963 re their FB) to their FB page where Winter Sylvana also has new FB accn't.
ETA: Winter Sylvana was "Born on March 27, 1971"....an hoping this detail will be more ARG & less trivia significant.

Response to my questions:

Quote:
These three cards are to be part of the 1-2-3 layout, so while their order is somewhat significant, it is not as important as the final layout of the Celtic Cross, which will be completed later in the game.

The order will be determined by number of votes with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as #1, #2, and #3 respectively. Those who submit cards may not suggest their order.

The final cards and order of the 1-2-3 spread will influence events in the story in the sense that they will determine which three pieces of information will be revealed about Devin Collins and the Card Keepers.

So choose wisely, people.

WOW.. lots happened while I was away, sorry that some ppl were upset by the whole submission and ensuing argument. Some might feel that the gun was jumped but time seemed to be a factor, a decesion was made that at the time was the majority opinion, a vote was cast and we moved on with the game. I'm sure that noboby intended to offend or leave out anyone else, just the the clock was ticking and something needed done and was done. The end.
I am not on the boards 24/7 andI would guess that few of us are. If I miss anything while im otherwise occupied then thats my fault, not the fault of the ppl that are more active than I. That being said, if a limit on voting time is needed the I cast my vote for 24 hours, seems a reasonable time limit for everyone to have their say. I'm sith S.P.I., if I dont get my vote in, or if time is limited, then cast my vote for the majority and move on without me, I promise I will not be all butthurt about it Laughing.

Regarding the next 3 card, are we going for a concensus here before subiting our votes or is it to be all rogue? both seem to have their pros and cons.
If we try to reach a consensus then we can more directly influence the info we receive for now and make the outcome appealing to the most players. reaching an agreement and having everyone vote for those cards could be troublesome and leave ppl butthurt though.

If we each submit our own ideas with no agrement then everyones opinion is represented so (hopefully) no hard feelings about the outcome. however, we could end up with no majority, or a very slim one for the cards and order they appear in. Do we want 60 cards with one vote and the three winners with only 2 votes each or somethingof the sort?

Did anyone else notice that the Chariot card on the blog is the Hogwarts express?
