Did anyone else notice that the Chariot card on the blog is the Hogwarts express?

Yes I did notice it was the Hogwarts Express!!! Very Happy It made me so happy!

Seeing as we all can cast our own vote for a particular card, I see no reason why we can't make the decision separately. Everyone will be given a full weekend to contribute. It's fair. Wink

That being said, it would be nice if everyone at least posted what they were going to vote for here, so that others were aware -- it will help us make our choices. Cool

So, if I understood this right, everyone can make three submissions (one per platform). So can I submit the same card three times?

I'm assuming the same card can be submitted on each platform. I'm gonna just shot from the hip with this 3-card submission, mainly because, IMHO, we have no way of knowing specifically what three pieces of information will be revealed with the 1-2-3 spread. I'll be submitting the 5 of Cups (me+wife+3 kids) twice and might leave the third if a compelling case for a very specific card piques interest.

I know I probably doesn't work like this (meaning I don't get to choose which card is drawn for which piece of information), but I like the King of Pentacles in relation to Mr. Collins and the 10 of pentacles in relation to the Keepers based on the descriptions on the Aeclectic Site

I'm gonna probably go with The Moon, Temperance or High Priestess.

HP go back and read the last email I got from them. It will answer your question, but basically no - you do not get to choose.

So far I have decided on the 6 of wands:

Quote:
Known as the Victory Card, the Six of Wands celebrates overcoming previous challenges, and also suggests that future victories are coming soon. Study the card and note that the horseman is surrounded by his troops. This is not only a card of personal victory, it is a card of team victory. The leader has achieved his success with the help of his followers, and without teamwork, it would not have been possible. Traditionally, good news, hope, desires, expectations, fulfillment.

Also the Sun:

Quote:
The Sun is a happy card. Bright children enjoying a beautiful new dawn. Emergence from the darkness of the night into the light of the day. Radiance. Energy. Success. Prosperity. Clarity of thought, enhanced by
previous trials, but also fueled by youthful optimism. Pessimism is overcome. Depression fades. New ideas. Creativity. Enthusiasm merges with experience. Sometimes suggests a marriage or childbirth. Traditionally, revelation, enlightenment, success.

Also the Hanged Man:

Quote:
Greater understanding. Sacrifice. Humility. Introspection. Acceptance. Contemplation. The Hanged Man is about opening one's mind and overcoming preconceptions and prejudices. A card of meditation and revelation. Also a card of faith and trust. Disengage and look at the big picture. Perhaps others may be right about some things. Perhaps what had seemed so important really isn't when you stop to think about it. Traditionally, selflessness, wisdom, suspension, entrancement, devotion, submission, intuition, regeneration.

I could be swayed by good arguments, but I think I will be submitting these later today.

I think one of my cards will be the Tower. It is all about revelation. That sounds like something we want. Very Happy

For me:
The sun
ETA

The Sun is a 'yes' to life! It brings with it luck, wellness, positive consciousness, enthusiasm, attainment and success. It is about embracing your destiny and giving it everything you have got. If you have been having a difficult time, the Sun brings you the message you have been waiting for – that things are going to get better – a lot better! You know that the rain clouds will soon give way to the rays of the sun and you will feel warmed to the soul once again. The Sun is also an energetic card. It reflects a time when you can expect to experience an increase in physical energy, vitality and general positivity. You are bursting with enthusiasm, feeling invigorated and enjoying a wonderful sense of good health.

The ace of swords
ETA
The Ace of Swords represents a period of great insight and mental clarity. It signifies a 'break-through' or an 'aha' moment where suddenly conscious understanding and mental reasoning reach their peak, and achievement of goals suddenly becomes a lot easier. You have a new understanding of some issue that has been of concern, or, in a broader sense, a new world view. This is a perfect time to clear away the fog that has kept you from seeing the inner truth, so that you can now cut to the heart of the matter. This is also a good time to act, and if you set your mind to accomplishing your goals, you can achieve anything you desire.
The ten of coins
ET
As a Ten, the Ten of Pentacles is such a great sign that despite challenges and setbacks along the way, you will finally reach a point of completion and accomplishment in your journey. The Ten of Pentacles shows how family, or even extended family, is incredibly important. It represents tradition, being a part of something bigger and realising that the blood of your ancestors runs through your veins.

It looks like the Sun is getting a lot of attention. Hmm...I might vote for it, too, as a sort of "where's my flock?" kind of move, but can anyone give me an explanation for why this card is so popular for this event?

teh_lisa: yeah I read your email, that's why I said I know didn't work like that.
I'm still submitting those two cards for those reasons though.

Man, this game updates with a pace that's too fast for me to keep up any more. Sad I will try to do better with reading up to the story so far since a lot of my early success was based on how the story was unfolding and what the next logical step was. Right as I am typing this I am at a loss about the latest post and I am more confused than ever. So....this weekend will be a catching up weekend for me but if Monday kicks off with another three updates I can see me losing the battle with the pacing all over again.

NOTE: This is not a grief about the game. I am loving this! I am just saying my available time vs. the updates and how it relates in terms of my contributions to this team. Smile
