If I recall correctly, after Hoody runs away from Alex he still has the mask off but it's in his hands, then he sets the camera down so he can put it back on.

In my eyes (not saying this is right or wrong), Seth was a supporting character; of course he has a bit of significance, but he's not a character that will affect the story - he just develops it. If Seth was Hoody, he would be significant. Same with Brian, but he's a little more important than Seth, inferring that this was his face that was in the frame of that Entry. But what makes me wonder is that why do Seth/Brian make these videos? And why do THEY want to find the ark (whatever that is)?

I fail to see why Brian is more important than Seth. Just because he has more screen time? Most of his screen time is him acting. When most of the footage Jay had to work with was the MH film footage, it's no wonder there's a lot of Brian. Seth is more likely there in most of those instances Jay is watching as well, just behind the camera. There is no reason to believe Brian is a more significant character than Seth. Both were part of the film crew, both were sacrificed by alex, both have been missing.

Wow, a brand new entry! We came so close to seeing who Hoody is, and Alex found him and knows! Maybe Hoody's now trapped in the tunnel and is asking Jay and Tim for help, but I love how stealthy he is! The We are trapped message worries me, just because Hoody seems so independent, but if Alex has found him then he must be getting desperate.

Agreed. That's exactly what it looks like.

In entry 22 with Seth there is what definitely appears to be the face of hoody's mask on screen for like 3-5 seconds. More proof for me than this scrambled frame shot. Not to mention the S that has appeared in a couple TTA vids

This is the first entry (if I recall correctly) that we see Hoody filming hirself in absence of another purpose.

That is, unless ze somehow knew Alex was following hir. Hoody could have led him there intentionally (explains the lack of personal belongings) or been expecting him at the very least.

However, if ze did not know Alex was going to appear, that means ze just happened to be recording hirself. This isn't ground breaking or anywhere near it, but it's the biggest glimpse we've had into Hoody's character as an individual. Hir paranoia is evident, and the fact that it is intense enough to warrant filming hirself is interesting at the very least.

That face appeared after Seth was knocked out, and seems edited in TTA style, not distortion. It could be tta saying, this is when I became Hoody. Or it could be hoody saying. I was the one that knocked him out. Or it could be unrelated to hoody, and it COULD be distortion.

Whatever the picture from 68 means, I'm positive it is Brian.

"Wipe that stupid smile off your face," For some reason when I picture Brian being hoody, it just works wonderfully for that scene.

The reason Brian feels like a more important character, and why it feels like he appears so much more often (even if he really doesn't) is that he comes up frequently outside of those appearances, from the location (his house) to his friendship with Tim and Tim's explanation that Brian is his connection to Alex. Seth is a guy who's there, but Brian seems to be a piece of the puzzle.

I'm in the Seth camp, but that is definitely one of the stronger, if not the strongest argument for Brian in my opinion. The fact that Tim was friends with him before and that is how Tim knows Alex. That prior relationship does make a lot of sense given the dynamic between Hoody and Masky. (Both stalked as a child?) Obviously Tim was i'm questioning the possibility with Hoody

Brian being the mutual friend between Tim and Alex is good proof for Hoody = Brian.

Hoody and Tim had a masked alliance. Brian and Tim were friends.

Hoody really hates Alex for some reason. Brian was betrayed by his "friend" Alex.

So I think Hoody is Brian, but the whole technical/editing thing just doesn't seem like something Brian would do or be capable of. So I'm in the Brian = Hoody and Seth = TTA camp. Because of the whole Seth being the editor of the film thing. I just really think they wouldn't bring Seth back for season 3 if they didn't have future plans for his character.

That's....actually a sound theory o.O

Maybe Hoody went and hid in the tunnel and Alex found him and so now he's trapped in the tunnel. the "you are trapped" means that Jay and Tim can't move forward without Hoodie and the "we are trapped" means that the 3 of them can't do anything as long as hoodie is stuck where he's at.

Though this has some obvious flaws like how did Hoodie upload the footage (I supposed he COULD have used a smart phone like someone stated earlier)

That's not a sound theory at all. What do you guys think hoody has a casette -> usb dongle in his sweatshirt pocket, and that he's hiding a laptop that gets wifi somewhere on him as well? that's the only way this would have gotten uploaded if he was trapped down there

Anyone who thinks you can do this on a smartphone has never touched an editing program on a smartphone. Plus he was holding a camera, not a phone. If you want me to back that up, then ask yourself how a cell phone would not fall over when he put it down.

you might have missed the point. hoody was saying " i know how to hide from alex, and the fear of the places i hide in is no longer there. but alex will never stop looking"

That's exactly what I got. I believe the point of the video was to show how relentless Alex is, and a small reassurance that he is completely aware of Tim and Jay's whereabouts. For once this gives Jay and Tim a leg up on Alex, so they can plan their next move. Even though Jay is looking for Jessica, I doubt that's their main motivation. Ever since Tim joined forces with Jay, Tim seems to have spearheaded a campaign of finding answers and putting an end to all the bullshit happening to them.

A cassette to USB dongle. A dongle. Dongle. What's a dongle?

That made me laugh.

The smart phone theory could work provided:
- He has a smart phone
- He had reception in the tunnel
- He had credit/data on his phone
- His phone had wifi hotspot capabilities to provide a wifi signal off the 3G network
- He had a laptop with him

If Hoody is living in an abandoned house, I doubt he will be regularly topping up his phone account, if he even has a smart phone, which I doubt, I reckon he would have an old Nokia brick phone. He wouldn't of taken a laptop with him. So I'm pretty sure he got out of the tunnel fine as he uploaded it. People have to remember that whoever uploaded it is fine, as of uploaded date, as that's how YouTube works. You have to upload it. So you have to be reasonably well, not hiding in a tunnel or dying in a hospital.

Edit:
Ok a dongle is a word. I did not know that. Still made my day tho. I would of just used connector or cord. But dongle is the correct terminology
