I will also predict more jump scares, blood and gore and a romantic interest. Just like almost every other horror movie (except for a tiny few.)

[sarcasm]Yeah, because the actual creators don't have any input on this whatsoever, right?[/sarcasm]

It is not hard at all for directors to push writers out of the process.

And, sadly, even directors have to bow to the will of the companies that are funding the movie. Is is no surpise why so many movies are formulaic now?

Actually, they usually don't. Generally the creators of the source material get a few visits to the set; writers get to handle the script; directors have final say in what's done (save, of course, for executive meddling) in the final cut.

Exactly.

I think MH would make a cool video game seeing as it would make the world seem more immersive.

Slender: The Arrival has been written by the 3 creators of marble hornets Smile you should check it out and get the beta game. Its quite close to marble hornets.

Eh. From what I've seen so far, it doesn't capture the good ol' Slender spirit. I'm sure it'll be good and the story will yield something worth remembering but when it comes to the core soul of what it is... it's too... up front to be eerie in the spirit of MH.

To name one, the Slender model is too similar to any normal man. Just with a white head. One of the things that made Eight Pages jolting is Slenders flamboyant posture (i.e. his broadened shoulders)

Somebody who... likes the model they used for Slender Man in The Eight Pages?

I think Slender Man's at his creepiest when he's standing oddly, like The Operator. Head tilted, legs slightly uneven. Plus the way his arms kind of just stop before getting to the hands.

Also I like him to look like Slender Man. Not some chubby bald guy in a grey suit, like in The Eight Pages.

Another thing that irks me in the Arrival is that Slendy just has... hands. It's a a small matter but it drastically affects his spookiness negatively.

He does have his Slendacles (my nickname for Slenderman tentacles) if you get close enough. I've also found if you manage to get into a spot where your screen doesn't go wonky when you see him he is pretty creepy. his head even follows you when you try to move

I really don't thin k anyone's quite ready to make a Slender movie. Even MH. I think it's best they stick to the web series (at least until it's finished) It just feels like a silver screen movie would suck the magic out of the idea of MH.

Also, Slender has a potential to be a fantastic horror movie, but most horror movies today aren't very good so right now in this era isn't the best time to have any kind of big screen Slender movie in my opinion.

The web movies are excused for being kinda corny because.. well... they're web movies.

I like to think that the Marble Hornets movie is a Tim Sutton Origin Story, written by, produced by, and starring Tim. Only. Very Happy

And Guest Starring Jack P. Slenderman as Slenderman.
