I totally agree with this ^
I think Hoody was expecting Alex to come.

Hoody laughs because Alex is frustrated and doesn't know where Jay/Tim are and he does. He runs out of the building towards and into the maintenance tunnel. Alex follows, and hoody ditches him in there.

The video was put up to show that Alex is still looking for them, and that they should not let themselves be found. Hoody wants to show them that he's on their side.

my question was why did hoody keep looking outside constantly. I highly doubt he normally does that.

I think Hoody was expecting Alex to try and get answers out him once he found out Jay and Tim left.

And why not, exactly?

Why? It's normal for the people involved with TO be paranoid.

My biggest question now is who has the gun? I'm starting to think that really wasn't a phone in Tim's hand in 67. Because if I was Bri-Hoody and had a weapon, I'd kill Alex in the tunnel, that way he really could not find them or me again. But did he maybe give the gun to Tim so they can be safe? I wonder.

But then, attempting to kill Alex would summon The Operator, as we have seen in Entry #66.

Well Hoody could still have just shot him the moment he saw TO before running unless TO can still live without Alex.

Then Hoody is lying about not being scared. If he really isn't afraid, why not risk it ? He runs from The Operator every time he's with Tim, maybe he isn't scared, but he doesn't want Tim to be attacked. Still doesn't answer WHERE IS THE GUN he just had! If Tim shoots Alex, then TO might attack him if TO is protecting Alex. Surely Hoody doesn't want that. Maybe he just left the gun in the Operator dimension so no one could use it?

Just had? You mean the one he had months ago?

sigghhhhh..... just had as in it was there and now it isn't, sorry, I'm from hickville usa and don't speek tew gud sumtahms. Rolling Eyes

I am aware of Alex having a gun since he pulled it on J and Jess a long time ago. If he had it before then that anyone knows, I welcome correction. But it was taken from him in 67. If he still had it, he probably would have used it here on Hoody.

so.... anyone else want to actually contribute to a discussion about this?

It is possible that Hoody simply wants Alex alive until he gets some kind of information off of him. If he threatens Alex too much with the gun but doesn't follow through he might not be able to intimidate him as easily in the future.

It is also possible that we still don't know enough about Hoody's motives to get the whole scope of the situation either.

I find it interesting that 68 had sound while 67 did not. I mean to say in 67 we are missing the critical pieces of dialog that would spell out what is going on, but Hoody could be misdirecting Jay.

As this goes on, I'm starting to wonder if there isn't really a good side and a bad side in all this. I know this is obvious in a way. I get the feeling that Alex isn't as evil as he seems to be and that Hoody is not as good as he seems to be. So Hoody is using Jay's perception and fear of Alex as a tool to gain Jay's trust.

Heck, Hoody could have been smirking because Alex basically played right into his hand by acting the way he did and saying what he said.

I started wondering that pretty quickly. I'd wager it's with Tim. Perhaps as a "gift" to let Tim know that Hoody wants to help. Or maybe Hoody would rather Tim kill someone than doing it him/herself, to save their own hide.

This would be more interesting than Hoody being more-or-less good and Alex being completely evil. Especially since Alex isn't really a threatening villain any more, freaking out and shouting at everyone then getting his ass handed to him. Hopefully Jay will start to trust Hoody soon.

Well hoody shoots at something during the distorted segment of 66, so I dont' think that's the issue
