I guess I got too excited too, ok?

The blame can be spread around a bit. It's certainly not an easy thing to talk about, ok?

Let's just agree that we shouldn't talk to Darko for a while. Give him some space and hope he calms down. Even possibly reaches out to us somehow. We've (temporarily) lost a good source of information

What Cajack said. We need to make friends here guys. Please can we ease off the questions and wait a bit? I know it's against all of our natures, but we need to try and give them some fucking space.

Make nice. Talk to them about more mundane stuff. Let them learn to trust us. PLEASE.

EDIT: Oh, and here's my other thing. The one question I got him to answer.

Quote:
yea, actually. exactly like harvey. not so sure about the whole pooka thing- that's more up henry's alley, but i think it might be connected to the loa somehow. everyone has their own theories about our 'friends'.

Ok. What's the nature of the relationship between you and Rabbit, if I may
ask? I'm sorry for being so invasive. I'm just trying to figure this out.

Is Rabbit his/her/it's own entity? Is it something like Harvey, where only
you can see it? Can you talk to it? Can it talk to other people?

LOA

The Loa (also Lwa or L'wha) are the spirits of Haitian Vodou. They are also referred to as Mystères and the Invisibles, in which are intermediaries between Bondye (Bon Dieu, or good god)—the Creator, who is distant from the world—and humanity. Unlike saints or angels however, they are not simply prayed to, they are served. They are each distinct beings with their own personal likes and dislikes, distinct sacred rhythms, songs, dances, ritual symbols, and special modes of service. Contrary to popular belief, the loa are not deities in and of themselves; they are intermediaries for a distant Bondye.

We pushed too much with dark0. My earlier statement about assaulting them with questions without first establishing a relationship with them still stands. These are people who went through traumatic experiences and/or don't know everything. Not automated message machines. We should try a little more finesse if we really want them to talk to us... I'm not trying to put anyone down, I'm just stating what I think might be most effective. Even if we end up splintering off to support different factions, the information pool is limited right now. No use pissing in the pond.

Well, that would make sense, only I sent him an email too, which was brimfull of friendly information as a sign of good faith and not a single question or demand, telling him I was prepared to walk the extra mile to prove I was one of the good guys, worrying about his safety with all the stuff that's been happening and ended with saying
"I think shit's going down, Darko. I really want to help. I don't trust anyone, but I'll trust you."
but I didn't even get a reply.

So I would say bombarding him with questions rather than trying to build a relationship was exactly the right thing to do.

huzzah for excitement Razz and no i agree PTSD is not something thats easy to talk about - Some people actually never talk about it. I actually in my last reply to him, opened up a bit about myself in the hope that it might pull him back and i like to think that once he calms he might come to trust in me because i trusted in him.

Wink

i agree with what tal says - the quick fire questions seemed to get more of a response than the softly softly. In a kinda sense that they all got answered where as tal who was nice didnt get a reply.

I found that slightly odd tho tal given that you are one of the main ones that opened the channel of communication... Sad

also are we not emailing Mr Felt now either?

And you're certainly allowed to believe that. I was only stating what I thought. It isn't as if I can stop you. The fact still remains that dark0 is perhaps exhausted as a resource (for the moment), and we barely had access to him for a day. This isn't a race. I'm prepared to say that given the unusual nature in which we contacted dark, a forthcoming approach was not wrong, but antagonizing him without fully gaining his trust could be seen as not helping. That's how I see it.

OOG or whatever, but it might just be that they are choosing who to respond to because they keep getting asked the same questions and they know we're all sharing information anyways. It gets exhausting responding to so many people at once, let alone in a timely manner. I think that's part of what's happened with Nicole.

all the antagonizing as i seen it came from him. I recieved a heated email from him to which i responded as a fellow sufferer of PTSD. I 100% wouldn't have played it differently. I think sometimes in games you need to play it as you see fit in the moment. If you would have played it down then kudos Smile each to their own - live and let live peeps Very Happy

Amalie has a good relationship with nicole, so i think its best for amalie to stick with nicole and gather what she can! (doing an awesome job Amalie) Very Happy

But, yeah i can agree that its hard manning so many emails and questions lol esp if they are coming in quickfire style! lol

Why on earth would you want to stop me? I did exactly what you are suggesting. I spent an hour or two trying to gain his trust on the blog, as you can see, and when that seemed to pay off I sent him a mail only intended to build relationship, in order to gain more permanent access.
Only it wasn't the trust-gaining that made him give us an email address, it was the "do you have an email address we can contact you at?" And it wasn't the relation-building that gave response in the email coversations, it was the direct questions.

See, the way you are suggesting, however much I agree with it, didn't lead to ANYTHING, and that was a bit disappointing. They way you are condoning, on the other hand, led to a few answers.

GAIZ. Chillax. I stated what I thought and peeps are throwing fits. Dark0 will get back to us eventually. Whatever I say, your methods did produce some results. Play the ARG however you feel like. Just be prepared to have someone comment on it if you share.

EDITED (againsies):

TallulahBelle wrote:

Also, that isn't what I meant. My statement in no way illustrated that I actually wanted to stop YOU, specifically. Just that I can't stop ANYONE, even if I wanted to. I'm fully aware that the game is open to all of us to do as we see fit. It's just that we had a collaborative rhythm going on for a while, and I thought I'd give my two cents.

I agree with the motion to Chillax put forward here. We are all in this together (for now) and nothing's going to be gained by us fighting over what is fixable. We just need to coordinate and decide how to go about doing this. I know there's a lot of excitement talking to these characters but I think we've done a lot of damage for now.

We at least have more insight into what's going on and the nature of Cat (and Rabbit). I think, aside from an apology to Dark0, there's no need to talk to him again unless he reaches out to us first or we give him time to calm down.

Meanwhile, we need a plan of attack. Maybe someone should try to email Karenismissing again? Joseph B might still have more info for us. Am is also getting a good rapport with Nicole, that's worth building up as well.

As for the rest of it? I guess we need to wait and see what happens next. At the moment there's not much else we can do until another puzzle or any other characters get involved with us. Mr. Felt might be in danger if we approach him anymore, and Dark0 will just get pissed.

I emailed the karenismissing email, Nicole and mr felt to try and get some sort of interaction (I was a bit late to start) but I haven't gotten any sort of reply yet... I believe the main site said updates will occur every two weeks so it may just be a matter of waiting for an update and collating our current info.

Welcome, Jim! Great to have you with us!

Huh! Taylor's on? That's interesting. I guess I'll check it out. Maybe we can befriend her?

EDIT: Apart from saying Hello I have nothing meaningful to say to Taylor right now so I'll leave this up to you guys. I can't think of any questions and I'm kinda burnt out right now.

Honestly, most of my efforts have been pretty crap lately anyway, so I'll check back in on this tomorrow unless I think of something clever.
