Any ideas on what the noise was Jessica denies making at night?

I thought Jay's premonition of probably having to move that night was odd. I don't think he had any reason for that (I don't think he'd notice during the conversation that the distortion was heavier).

Masky and Jay came out of a different door than Jessica's based on how Jay's room is further down the hall. She could've still been in her own room. It could be masky was trying to seperate them by scaring Jay away (possibly in order to protect him if masky suspected she'd lure danger).
