if this whole process is some sort of pledging-a-fraternity type of deal, how would we know our own Official Name? this doesn't look like the sort of site that existing members would hit up once they're already inducted...i'm thinking that the solution will be "the Latin word for (something)"

I beg to disagree. i doubt this was intended to be an induction of any type, i think it was a fancy way of locking people out... and i doubt this society has a pledge system, it seems like it's such an old society you must be invited in, not ask to join and then go thru trials... you know?

good point, Pixie...although it's definitely something to keep in mind. past logins took us from "seeker" to "initiate", and now we're neophytes or n00bs or whatever, so there is some progression going on. who knows? i'm sure we're all not far from finding out, though...

Here's the text from the page:

Code:
Congratulations. You have found nothing. What information did you really think we would place here, to be found so easily? Do you think we are fools?

Instead, the moment this page was accessed a message was sent, many places at once. By solving the password log-ins and answering the questions along the way to finding this page, you have proven that too much information has become known about this facade of ours. This was a test, a gauge to measure our exposure and it has served its purpose. It is time to disappear.

Those who have knowledge of us shall earn their just reward. Piece by piece the evidence of our existence shall fade until nothing remains. But there are other faces, other facades. And time is on our side.

Nullo potentiae vestigio per tempus relicto

And there was also a flash on there

Yes, it was brought up that one of the user ids noticed during the 7th sons hack was 'Ramon', which was the alias for Mark Robinson. Take Ramon out of that, and you're left with Ramon Bronski.

Here's what I found on the next page before the site disappeared...

Here is the solve to ascensionpath.html:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Since there are 3 letters in the word red, 4 in blue, etc.... take the first 3 letters in red, then 4 in blue, etc... you get:

when assassins ruled the eagles nest and spread throughout the land our hands directed their every move when the rosy cross crusaded forth to change the world our power guided every sword the secret knowledge of the people of the path is yet another face weve worn the followers of mithra the gnostics and the vehm the rosicrucians and the illuminated are all but reflections of the truth from the time when gods and mortals shared the earth the sacred line descends to breed the sacred seventh son the vessel of power to change the world healer or destroyer the path he chooses is ours to guide septimus e septem doctrina incarnata our purpose is to breed we await the day of his return the son is born

So that's how we were really supposed to solve seventhstep.html...

EDITED BECAUSE INFO WAS ALREADY POSTED

Ah well, at least I have the satisfaction of knowing I got it all on my own.

attached is the final flash for those interested...

--mrm

edit: Zipped it up so it won't get everyone killed and redirected to google.
Viewer beware. Shocked

edit 2: it was not orginially called endgame.swf. It was a random name in my cache and I named it that. dish recalls it being called automonitor.swf.
