I originally thought it was dissociative identity disorder as well--which is also such a tired plot device--but figured out from the context what it must have meant.

Yeah d.i.d stands for damsel in distress, lol. I didn't even think about it also standing for dissociative identity disorder too. I thought mentioning Princess Peach would give it away but I guess I should have been more clear.

Anyway, I'm personally hoping for Jessica to have a little bit more to her character. I've always been a little suspicious about entry 32 and 33. A lot of people just say that she was paranoid but I think there could be a little more to her little monologue in entry 32. Her confession about having dreams of being watched as a child could possibly hint at her having Oppy troubles before Jay and Alex came along. Also, her disappearance in entry 33 is still pretty suspicious to me.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but if someone has, then my bad. The title for the video, Decline, seems to me to be a reference to the series as a whole. The story is on it's decline, and there's not going to be much more of it.

I doubt it's supposed to be a meta-reference though. More like TTA knows that everything is coming to an end soon.

EDIT: Actually, I also just though that it could mean Alex's decline as well.

I think Tim drew Oppy to them all.

But I also think Jessica was suspicious. But mostly because of the weird noises in her room and masky just waiting there. As if she let him in and left instead of waiting for Jay.

I don't think she is SUPER important, but maybe she is a member of TTA. She was probably around Alex for a long while before Jay even started watching the tapes. It is possible that when her and Alex met Alex brought the operator with him for a while and Jessica and the rest of TTA tried to ward him off. Maybe even working with Alex (which is why Alex wasn't surprised at who Hoody was) and then Alex was slendy wiped and lived happily until Amy brought out the camera.

Main point: she better be somewhat important.

And I always had the feeling that Troy and co were trying to act like TTA was a knowledgeable/stalky viewer before they were a character. And the fact that TTA knows so much probably means they didn't just recently get in the game

Masky came in from the hallway, not from Jessica's room. The operator was supposed to be in the room behind her (the dvd commentary confirms that)

If it wasn't for entry 65 I would have doubted intentional harmful motives from The Operator. For all we knew, everything that happens when he appeared was an unintentional side effect. But entry 65 proves he hates Tim

Pravado, you can't actually prove that, story-wise, the operator wasn't really there in that video. Yes, out of game, we all know that the video had to be edited to include all that. As it relates to the story, there's been nothing given to us by the creators that suggests that the operator wasn't in the video "for real."
