I would imagine they are starting expanded registration by letting you bring your friends. Which is very nice, because next will be other random people.

friends

I told some friends who are halo players and who had been lurking here about the crew training event. Actually, I offered to give one of them, who is also a voice actor, my spot...

but it wasn't needed.

this was included in the reply:

Quote:
Also: Now that most members of my loyal crew have reserved
admission, I am more comfortable extending the invitation to new
friends and allies. I would like to give you permission to inform
them of the event. Admission is limited, but if they follow the same
reservation procedures, I will do my best to accommodate and confirm
admission to those who contact me first.

So, they were nice enough to give us--the ilovebees players-- the first crack at spots for this event. I think this unexpected reward was worth playing the game. Now that all the crew members and players who wanted to go to the event have replied, I am very glad that some of my other friends will be there too.

the term viral marketing always makes me think of chicken pox spreading into corporate logos.

So, I just firmed up my schedule and can go to the austin training. I'm part of the crew and all, and emailed Dana / Melissa. What's been the turn around on getting a response back. I'm just paranoid that I won't hear back in time, go all the way down there and not be able to get in.

I was a relatively late registrant. I sent in my application last Fri. at 8:58 AM PDT. I received my reply after 9:00 PM that night. Some have said that they apparently send out all the acceptances for the day some time after 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

Good luck!
