haha whoops, *dialogue

Seriously though I thought the beginning exchange between them was great, even throughout the entry.

The biggest flaw of this series is that it has to meet the demands of an audience who wants it to be something it is not. It is not meant to be watched once every 2 weeks ect, it is a series meant to be watched consecutively. It is meant to be marathoned.

If you watch a sync tube there is seldom any complaints about an entry being in there, and it all fits extremely well. But since we watch it whenever they come out, we overlook the small things that make this series great. Which is largely what I feel like we do every time an entry comes out

If it were meant to be marathoned I think they would have released them all at once.

...that makes no sense at all. I don't understand that logic. It is great for us because since its an arg or whatever the acronym is, we get to feel like we are part of the action and it is happening live as it is happening. That's why they don' t do it like that. At the same time, it is not suppose to be a series that is watched once every 2 weeks/once every month. The entries don't supply the plot development and action that the hype lives up to. It's not how the entries are really structured. Breakthroughs come out gradually. In that sense, it is suppose to be marathoned

This has only been the case really so far for S3. Seasons 1 and most of 2 provided plot development with the entries. So in my opinion, if it were meant to be marathoned for the story to be exciting and whatnot, then it'd have been released all at once. I mean, you wouldn't watch a movie in increments because it's not made to be watched like that

Honestly that reply only tells me that you haven't re-watched the series in a very long time. Re-watch season 1 and 2, or just the first 15-20 entries of season 1 and tell me that there is ground breaking plot development in every one...

Seeing as the idea of MH is to give off a "real" feel, "plot development" would make it seem too TV show-like rather than documentation-like.

We're getting the same entry quality in longer waiting periods, which I think sums up the frustration of the community. It's still the same quality though

To be relevant, anyone notice any distortion around the time Jay says he sees someone, I can't really tell if it is or not

Did I ever say there was plot development in every entry? No. I said they provided it meaning more often than in S3. And way to suggest I basically watch all of S1 (which btw can be considered every entry giving plot development since it's laying the groundwork for everything else)

Although, any way you spin it, any entry can provide at much or as little plot development as someone sees in it so...

Newbie here but I always thought the best part of Marble Hornets was the paranoia and fear in each entry - That something BIG could happen or scary could happen. That atmosphere is the best part about it, in my opinion. It is a bit disappointing though when nothing comes out of that though.

There's always a *chance* something big could happen, but when it does they usually telegraph it if you pay attention to it.

Isn't that the best part of Marble Hornets? Every entry seems to have a buildup that leads to the big entry.

I feel like all these little things are building up to a bigger pay-off though. Each individual entry right now may not have the same atmosphere but I feel as if they will be going back down a darker path before the game is up.
