5ver Very funny, Tarrsk.
It reminds me of a hilarious LOTR 5ver I read...somewhere...

The ARGers are characters in the game. We (or they, since I couldn't get to a payphone, damn Canada) are Melissa's crew. They are the Princess' Army. They are Dana's long-and short-distance allies. They are what makes it all happen. Being all that, I'd say they are indeed characters in this story.

Just like every other game. Odd, I don't see "Players" in any other game 5ver.

If this is the one you're referring to, it's one of my favorites.

That's basically what I was thinking. As far as I'm concerned, we're as much a part of this story as Melissa, Dana, and Team Jersey.
Scumbag, I don't think mine is particularly longer than some of the 5vers on the site... for example, check out the 5ver for "Encounter at Farpoint," which is a mere two hours long, and compare that to the 5 hour epic that comprises just the audio clips of ILB.
I'm pretty sure I had scenes, too. The only single-liners I can find are the 2552 character introductions, which I liked for it's "roll call" feel.
[Edit]
Gack... guys, let's not pile on Scumbag. I'm really glad you liked my 5ver (or pseudo-5ver ), but it's all in good fun. There's no need to make anyone feel bad... I certainly don't find Scumbag's comments offensive in the slightest, and like his 5ver a lot!

Are any of the other 5vers for ARGs?

There are 5vers for games, yes. Regardless of the genre of game, there are 5vers for them. Some of them have had more analysis done on them than any ARG or Bungie Puzzle.

<giggle> That made my morning.
But actually, now that I think of it, the one to which I was referring had pictures of hand puppets. Its tone was more similar to yours, however. Hmm. Going to wander off to TORN and see if I can dig up the link.
EDIT: Not a 5ver, and it was finger puppets .

We're so characters in this!
Girls, girls, you're both pretty.
Tarrsk's is quite funny, I think. I esp. like the usage of *FOOM*.

Y'know I always thought a "Fiver" was a babylon 5 fanboy..
Like:
Trekkie :: Star Trek
Gater :: Star Gate
Warsie :: Star Wars
Fiver :: Babylon 5
(and I also Suppsoe)
Beekeeper :: www.ilovebees.com
I suppose the subtleties in life glue everything together... "5er" vs "Fiver"
Anywho... I read both (The first ones)...
My critique on both are as follows:
Scumbag... love the name. No, Yours was very well put together. Nicely presented, and a really good synopsis of the ILB server story.
However...
Tarrsk's 5er, was more complete, and much much much funnier. While i broke a smile at a few points in Scumbag's 5er, I broke out right laughing several times reading Tarrsk's.
More complete, a bit more consise, and much funnier.
kudos to scumbag for the effort, and the idea.
