Here's a question i've been thinking about, do you think Hoody existed during this time?

^^ that suggestion is not only extremely discriminatory, it's honestly kind of offensive that you think he should be singled out like that.

Pravado has the best comments, reactions, and insights on this entire forum. He is the biggest critic because he's one of the biggest fans

Not quite sure why Alex burned this tape, either.
The only thing I can remotely think of is that he mentioned he wanted to transfer to be with Amy.. And that might give away where he was going to hide, if he wanted to go into any sort of hiding.

But then again, Alex did send that video to Jay, so unless we're supposed to believe Alex didn't actually send the video, and lied to Jay about doing so... that throws that out the window.. :\

Two thoughts (can't remember if they've already been raised):

Maybe Alex only burned the tapes that said where he was going, so that he could leave all of this behind him. Way back in the Introduction Jay stated that Alex moved school and that he has no contact with Alex since then. This entry explicitly states that he's going back to Timtown (Rosswood, naturally.) Side note: if Alex was selective in what he gave to Jay then he must have organised the tapes in some way, even though Jay says that they were unnumbered and missing timestamps. Maybe Alex misfiled some of them and never really intended to give Jay the operator tapes. After all, Jay received many more tapes than he showed in Season 1, and some of those could have slipped through Alex's filing system. That could explain why Alex was so angry in Entry #52- he may have been more angry at himself for making such a simple mistake than at Jay, since Jay was actually trying to help all along.

Secondly I'm hoping Jay does turn a bit evil, but it can only really be done towards the end of the whole thing. Until then they need their "walking tripod" to tell us the story and upload videos. However I would not be surprised or disappointed if at some point Jay leaves town and abandons Tim to pick up the pieces.

Alright-What I take out of this is the following:

#1. Alex was planning on transfering to another school-and the conversation sounds more as if Alex is interested in Amy rather than the school itself.

#2. Alex lying to Amy during the conversation stating he's at home however she asks if he is driving leads me to the conclusion this occurred after Entry #4 as he's "following up" on what he saw in #4. His tone and demeanor seem normal, therefore he hasn't been affected by the operator yet. He doesn't want to spook his to-be girlfriend.

#3. I'm inclined to believe Hoody did send the tape of Alex and Amy to Jay, seeing he knows where everyone lived or lives during the timeline with the exception of Jay living at the hotel. I see no reason why Alex would send it.

I also think the people who are saying the operator looks smaller in this one need to take into consideration character heights. Alex is taller than Jay or Tim, so the camera is going to naturally be a little higher (although not by much). I don't think he looked too small in this one. The only one I felt that way with was entry 43. If anything I agree with the person who said his arms need work, that they make him look like a bug creature in a way.


Still laughing at people analyzing the lens flare, and the people derailing the topic with this pravado stuff. I'm new to this board, but people who are complaining that he derails things have derailed things even worse. I do think he could be a little less demanding/critical of the series, but I can see where he's coming from. I'm the same way with TV shows. I am overly critical on series because I love them so much, and when they don't meet my expectations I get upset. So in this respect I do see where he's coming from, albeit calling the creators amateurs was a little uncalled for. He does really seem to enjoy the series having read a bunch of the older entry posts, and in those topics has provided more interesting discussion points than most people. I think people get upset more at the wording of his opinion than the opinion itself.

I obviously don't make the rules, but the idea of forcing people to post criticisms in a separate thread (or spoiler tag their own posts) because overdramatics can't control their fanboy nature makes me mad. The topic at hand is discussing the entry, and why criticisms are seemingly forbidden is a really weird thing to me.I really hope nobody continues this discussion, because it's irrelevant to the entry at hand. Please let it end with this post. Next person to mention it is admitting they are a brony.
