This is merely reporting on what's currently seen as the inevitable; Disney has not said in any official capacity one way or another.

To be fair, though, the writing really is on the wall, TRON: Uprising is most likely done, but the proverbial fat lady has not yet sung.

That being said, the fact that Disney has not said anything yet is at least a somewhat positive sign in-and-of-itself. It shows that there's at least some consideration about whether or not to renew, perhaps with the rising fan support along with what appears to be reasonably strong sales for the soundtrack. There's still some hope, not much, but some.

This doesn't mean that another company will not decide to pick up the Tron series and either make the sequel for it or reboot it.

Here is a link to a vote to try to get the Tron Uprising back on the air.
I'm not sure if it will work or not, but at least it shows some support for the Tron universe. And for me, I just really want a Tron 3 so I'm hoping this is some kind of indirect way of helping that cause. So go vote!
