 		Long time lurker, first time poster. Hoping to get a bit more involved in the game:). I'm sure this is kind of opening on a bad foot, but its something I've been playing with all day, and I figured i'd throw it to the jury to chew on.

I think we aren't looking into the conversation between Alex and Amy enough here. This not only proves they were dating way back when, but also it was serious enough to merit moving in with each other. Is it possible that between this entry and Her disappearance somewhere they had gotten married? They would had been dating for at least for years, and in my experience that's a rather long time. I'm bringing this up because of the argument back in season 1 that Alex was the Ark (Alex ____ Kralie) which was shut down by Troy himself. If they did get married, it would be Amy _____ Kralie. Still fitting 2/3 of our dear ARK. It has been pointed out on several occasions to me that Alex's last name is the only one EVER mentioned in the series, with Jay going as far as to bleep out the last name of other Characters. It would also give Alex reason to burn those tapes, because if TTA was after Amy, He would want to do whatever he could to keep him/her/them off her trail. Thus burning tapes that had her location in them. It also would give reason for TTA's negative disposition towards Alex. Everyone was talking about her being connected to ToTheArk anyway:p

I would consider that to be a pretty bold assumption. Also there are a few reasons why the video in Entry #26 doesn't seem to be from 2006:
* Amy and Alex's conversation seems to suggest they were living together at the time of the video, while Entry #70 indicates that they weren't living together during the filming of Marble Hornets.
* Amy seems surprised that they have a camera, suggesting that Alex hasn't owned a camera for a while at the time of the video.
* Jay contacted Jessica in 2010 to ask about Amy (Entry #47). It's clear from the conversation that Amy hadn't been missing for 4 years.

Hello, I`m also a first-time poster and long-time lurker (I told myself when Entry #70 was uploaded I`d start posting here finally!) and your post finally made me stop being nervous and post. ^^

I think that`s a really valid point, actually. I personally believe Alex is the Ark and I think it`s definitely possible he and Amy got married at some point. I also like the point you made about Alex`s last name being the only one known to us thus far. I`ve wondered what the surnames of Jay & co. are, but I never actually thought Alex`s was intentionally the only one given.

Especially when he says "I just don`t like being this far away from you" (might not be the exact quote, sorry). While he might be lying like he lied about being home and he`s just really scared/bothered by TO stalking him, it shows a high level of devotion to Amy. The fact that none of the original tapes given to Jay mention her, like you all have discussed, shows me Alex is trying to either protect her or keep what happened to her a secret... Or both.

Well I wasn't saying the tape was from 2006 or anything (sorry if it came across that way) just saying even if the date was faked by even as little as a few days it could be significant. But anyways, I did forget about Jessica so that does refute my theory.

And I'm not too sure on the Alex and Amy being married deal. I mean it's possible they did but there hasn't been much, if anything, to suggest it.

 		I don't see them faking the date. It would really cause us to question everything about any entry that Jay has not directly filmed, and that really puts a hamper on the validity of the series

Ah, that might be a US to British English translation thing! I think I'd only put the "first" in there to make a point, but perhaps not in US English. Anyway, if Alex came from near Rosswood that gets rid of the whole Amy in Rosswood coincidence without invoking too many new entities.

 		Yeah, that's an American idiom. "First" often means "at the first" or in the beginning of something.

I would like to remind you guys about two things I haven't yet seen brought up in this discussion:

  1. Alex said that Jay was "gone" in his "confession."
  2. Jay had no memory that he was involved with the film at all until he watched the tapes given to him by Alex.

To me, it seems like there was definitely some memory erasure going on about that time. It's not unthinkable that Jay's memory of Amy was wiped as a part of that, as well.

This is true, but I'm thinking that maybe Alex never mentioned Amy to them before. It sounds like she wasn't really there while he was shooting. She was away at school. He mentions that Tim talked about an abandoned hospital out near where she was going to school. It's a good day's drive. It's unlikely she would have been up there visiting often. Not to mention, there is video evidence of Alex lying about even knowing about the town.

Yeah, it's fairly obvious there was some memory wiping going on. Tim doesn't remember much of that time either. However, by the time Tim mentions the hospital, Alex is already in the habit of lying about things. He could have been lying the whole time. All this does is create a lot more questions.

It always seemed to be implied to me that Tim kept his actual name, therefore, I would say that his is "Sutton."

To be specific, he states in his first post on the somethingawful forums "I helped out for a few days before my summer classes started, and a few rare occasions after that."
