To tackle another point made by Mal:

Who honestly thinks that the Proxy is the one teleporting Lauren out at the end of the game? It makes no sense since the Proxy has never been shown to teleport, and if Proxy did want to get Lauren out of the building all they have to do is grab and drag, since the mine level showed whoever is wearing the corpsy mask is stronger than a woman with a death grip on her camera.

To the forest fire being directly related to the CR fire; not possible. There's not enough to burn between CR's corpse and the front door for a good fire to get out, there's plenty of things that would have burned that are intact when you go through, and the fire has to be recent since you would have seen it from a distance.

As for the timeline of events, I stick by what I've been saying; CR has been dead for hours at the least by the time you get to him since there's no longer any smoke and he's cooled down.

to proclaim Kate being the proxy as proven fact?

It also says that at the end of chapter 4 Kate crashes out of the window and escapes to the nearby park, whereas she didn't exactly seem to escape to me (the glass being on the inside could be remnants of her failed attempt).

I don't know about that, we don't see her actually escaping and falling one story can't be good for your health. There's no real explanation for the glass being on the inside.

This time of fake out has been done plenty of times before. We don't see her actually make the jump out, so it stands to reason that it is possible she could have gotten to the window only to be caught by senior Slender and pulled back towards him.

Truthfully though I'm think the glass on the inside is just a goof by the team or when the level was created something broke in through the window, but got changed around later in development.

That is not at all reasonable. You basically just said that the fact that there are absolutely no hints that she was captured before making the jump makes it a valid possibility. We are shown her breaking the window by leaping at it. How much do we need to see? Do we have to watch her entire journey to the tower to know that's what that was?

We see her run to the window, we don't see her go through it. The glass breaking is a good indication she went through but...we don't see her go through the window.

Granted, this is only an issue because the glass is on the inside and the game is very minimalist in it's storytelling.

The glass being on the inside would not in any way imply that she didn't go through it, as long as she broke it from the inside, there should be some glass on the inside, but most of it on the outside.

There isn't any glass on the outside presumably because either you're supposed to assume that they got lost in the grass, or because it was a physics mistake.

And you know what, if you want to argue from the negative, I insist that you treat these arguments seriously, as well:

You didn't see CR NOT raise from the dead as a zombie, can you prove that it didn't happen?
You didn't see Lauren NOT strangle Slenderman with her bare hands, can you prove that it didn't happen?
You didn't see that a hybrid combination of Charles & Kate WASN'T the one to throw Lauren off of the tower, can you prove that it didn't happen?
You didn't see that Corpsey WASN'T generated from Slenderman by budding, can you prove that it didn't happen?
