That's another known troll. In this case, he's the one that made the thread to begin with. The guy thinks he's funny. Really, he's most likely from 9gag, because even /b/ gets tired of stupid shit like that after a while. :V In either case, it's some dumbass who thinks he's soooo coool behind his 7 proxies. :V

It didn't progress that much, if at all. We saw a story we were already told and had new questions compounded on top of it. I found it frustrating, myself. But like I said, whatevs.

A college friend of mine.

In 2006, Alex was in the process of shooting his student film, entitled Marble Hornets.
Over the three months that this took place, his film crew complained of his increasing levels of stress and irritability.

Near the end of shooting, Alex halted production indefinitely and dropped the unfinished project.
He told me it was due to the "unworkable conditions" on his set, which was less than a mile away from his house.

I asked what he planned to do with the countless number of tapes he had filled.
"Burn them."

Being a film student myself, I hated to see all of his work go to waste.
And after some coercing he agreed to give them to me.
Under the condition that I never mention it to him again.

Alex then proceded to beat the shit out of me, choke me out and leave me, possibly for dead, at the hands of a supernatural entity. None of which I remember (Yet Wink

)

Soon after, Alex transferred to another school and I haven't seen him since.
At the time, I was too unnerved (You know, from Alex attempting to kill me and all, lol #yoloswag) to look through the tapes, and eventually forgot about them.

A few days ago I found them filed away in the back of my closet.
After three years and zero contact with Alex, I have decided to look through them.
All the tapes are unnumbered and missing timestamps. Other than taking place in the summer of 2006, it is impossible to determine the exact order or date of each.
Should I find anything in any of them I will upload it to keep as a permanent record.

Now that you mention it, I guess I never noticed that part about Alex attacking Jay before, my bad.

Right, the event that started Jay down this path in the first place was severely retconned, the plot barely progressed, and a bunch of new questions arose. Like I said, frustrating. Not saying I hated the entry, just stating the facts.

Several pieces missing from the story:

How Jay got back to his home with his car & the tapes.
Why he doesn't remember waking up in the park, or any other signs of a gap in his memory.
Is this what Alex planned to do from the beginning? If so, why didn't he attack Jay in his house?
Why did he videotape it?
Is Alex running from something at the end?

This is a great example of an incomplete retcon.
