And another thing:

On the Institute for Genomic Advancement page, the picture of the infected lung (oh, gross) is specifically marked as being a "Digital Enhancement". I don't know anything about flash or taking apart images, but could there be a clue hidden in the image somehow? It seems to me that they want us to know someone's messed with it...

A society should not merely be measured by its brightest lights, but on how the brightest light the way for those who cannot shine for themselves.

Has a spelling mistake. Should be

This is what happens if I stay up too late.

"It's" is always a contraction of "it is" and never possessive.

No, it's Lusaka. Banjul is the capital of The Gambia.

The 'More Soon' is odd as it seems to refer to Zambia. I can't see how that could be a hint towards a substitution cypher or anything though.

Phew have just done a massive catch up and read through this thread, so should be all up to date Smile Was curious about the 'press release' about the call centre (rather than the one directly off the website) - it got mentioned then kinda forgotten about - was I the only one who thought a hanso foundation message wouldn't talk about the tv show lost?? isn't the whole point that in the hanso world the island etc is meant to be real - not the subject of a tv show??
sorry if that has been discussed somewhere but like I say I read through the whole thing!

No, not at all -- I was kind of wondering that, myself!

Thoughts, anyone?

Yes, which is why it is being discussed in the persephone.thf.org thread starting with this post -- just trying to organize things by topic, thanks.

I was just thinking...when you first load up the hanso foundation website, that whatever project is listed underneath the Hanso logo and date contains some information not found. Just some spec.

Well down here in aus its already the 8th - but nothing new on the newsletter page as yet. Probably it has to be the 8th in all time zones before anything changes i guess. Now I have to go to class/work until tonight and you'll probably all be miles ahead by then!!

the Mission Statement page / project acronyms

I have been wondering about the Mission Statement page, where all of the project acronyms/logos are lined up. For a couple reasons this seems like a clue to me: the letters are not all consistently upper or lower case, the "I" on "ERI" seems to be more like a "\" from a command prompt, a fairly even amount of vowels and consonants for word formation, and some projects have been renamed or are missing from that group.

Also, the way the letters all have bold colors, except the "mfi" and "wwp" which are black/grey. I was wondering if you rearranged all the letters according to their color along the visible light spectrum if it would spell anything. The problem is that some of the letters like the "ERI" also seem to be the same color, just darker hued, and where to put the aforementioned greyscale letters.

Just a thought that maybe there is something in there. Or I could be imagining things.

well, i used a screencap and then photoshopped the individual letters onto a color wheel, but it just seems like a jumble to me. maybe I'm looking too hard at nothing?
