Ah. Good find. I think I tried all of them except anguish Wink

So maybe "anguish" is the key? Now what does that unlock?

 		I am confused, how does it seem to be a game the video is from Heavy Metal the movie and the guy in the emails seems to be a nut job.

Do you mean you've matched the wing shapes in the eye image to some in a book? How bout a scan?

If not, is there any reason to look for Sumerian images? I was thinking some arc of the covenant kind of thing. Or possibly those twin statues in Never Ending Story.


The twin statues were different, although you are correct, they all have the same meaning:

Guardians of something.

Like the ark of the covenant, the wings were arched foward (like the oracles) Guarding something of great knowledge, and POWER.

If we notice that the eye is actually that of a FELINE, we can apply this also to EGYPTIAN culture. The wings actually identified the figures pictured there as GODS, and CATS were GUARDIANS of the underworld.

I wish I had a scanner... the only pic I could find online (scroll down to ASSYRIANS) was here:

but the wing tops are cut of, so it doesn't do much good.

I'll see if I can get over to the local college, maybe they'll scan it.

I'm also starting to think that it isn't about doomsday, but about absolute power...

 		i'm mostly just lurking over here atm, but i was dont think anyone else has noticed (or at least commented) on this fact.

the "layoutxx.gif" images for the background of the main page are very arbitrary in their sizes, almost like rectangular puzzle pieces... i wonder if there's any significance to it, as it probably made it way more difficult to build the page than simply gridding it out evenly on the table. have a look at the source, and the odd sizes of images, along with which ones are covered with blank 1x1 gifs and which arent.

also, all the layout bg images are gifs, except # 36 ( http://746865656e64.com/images/layout_36.jpg )

have we tried destegging this file, perhaps?

just my 2¢ worth from a web designer's standpoint...

My first impression was that it was just done on the quick, and the weird sizes might be just due to how their software slices it up. It could also be that they need certain blocks separate for replacing later, which I think is what they did with http://www.746865656e64.com/images/yshkGai.swf, which was in the upper right where http://www.746865656e64.com/images/layout_09.gif is now.

That said, it certainly makes sense to check for steggo. I did take a look at a few of the images in a text editor, but didn't see anything interesting. Haven't checked layout_26.jpg yet.

Edit: I have now checked layout_26.jpg in a text editor, and the first line contains the word "Ducky".

That's not normal is it?

 		yeah, i'm pretty sure "Ducky" is something that certain versions of Adobe software insert pretty commonly.


weird layout for future swapouts is a valid theory, but there are random 2 pixel hig or wide ones, too... for example the right silver column is one image except for the top 2 pixels are separate. the left silver column is one except the top 1/2 inch or so, split vertically in half. just weirdnesses maybe, i dunno.
