So I'm a scoundrel now?
That's it. I'm pushing.
I'll try to keep civilized and coherent. I do not want to be mistaken for some hater or spamer, but I'm embracing the bad guy role. I sent this:
Quote:
> You can not know where I am. Only few people know and I have not told you. Please do not threaten me. This is not a joking matter. I think you are a cruel person.
I can, and I know. Call it bad luck for you, call it just a serendipity, but I know exactly where you are. And I am not threating you, I was merely giving out advice to help you stay hidden. But now you seem way too paranoid for me.
He who has much to hide has much to fear, is what they say around where I live. Maybe AV has a good reason to follow you. Maybe you did something to deserve this.
Look, I am not AV, I do not know AV. But then, I do not know you either. So I'm saving my judgement for when I can hear both sides of this story. I will start seeking, and when I find AV, I'm going to hear the other side of the story, and then decide if I tell what I know.
For now enjoy the texan sun.
Lets hope I'm not messing things up.

This is really less of an ARG than an interactive story. I'm sure AngBa and I (mostly her) will have to deal with some consequences from that, but I think part of the plot is getting it through his head that he's not safe.
I've tried to warn him, maybe you'll be more successful.

Yayy for the bad cops! Just read your previous post and I was going to advise staying silent and simply leaving that message as a lure, but that response was quite well judged I think. Especially the stuff about wanting to see two sides... I am so in need of a perspective outside of Jochen's at the moment.
I've been looking for a pressure point, but with Jochen I think we have exhausted pretty much everything he knows. I want to know whether he has been to his father's grave, but really anything else Jochen can offer is more likely to be hints from the PM, like in tipsila's transcript above.

He has a total blindspot to that problem... I've tried to warn him ever since he started posting videos of Houston.

i hope AV replies to something soon, i have to agree that getting anymore "meat" for the story out of the Dr. is starting to feel like a lost cause...

I think if we can figure out the stupid skull code it will take us to the next level in finding them... I will try to have more patience than I did with it last night

Everyone's getting presents! I want one too!
In other news...I think I might have figured something out about the skull code. But I'm unsure, I need to double-check before I'll post.
Keep it up guys!

I wish I had! I've just got a little hunch is all, but I don't want to say it and clutter up stuff if it's wrong. If nobody beats me to the punch, I'm going to attempt to follow it tonight after work.
BTW...doc's messenger says he's "away to buy candles"
Who finally made him do it? Come on! Speak up!

Hey, I think we REALLY need to focus on the item and the code - we might be holding the game up... wanna all get together at the chat tonight and brainstorm?

That skull is getting me really frustrated, and I'm starting to dislike the Dr. I just don't believe he has "done nothing". He's certanly not telling us everything.
Still, I don't think me being on his bad side is dangerous for his trust to the rest of you. There's nothing to link us IC, and it is possible that someone just happened to know the places on his videos.
Anyhow... Maybe I'm just starting to see things, but I think the ethiopian alphabet has most of the signs on the skull. Yet it's not easy to to a 'translation' and I'm just tired of trying. If anyone feels like giving it a try download this pdf: http://www.tafuta.net/review.php?sid=975

Arkham, the doc actually did give us a clue in AngBa's IM doc.
I'm going to videotape the skull tomorrow evening and post the video to youtube.
Hopefully this will entice a new NPC onto the scene.

Also, quick summary of work tonight in #AV.
We don't know much. There was a lot of cryptoanalysis by maradydd, tipsila, angba, and a few others whose names have escaped me. Nothing concrete came of it. BUT, thought is that it probably is some sort of substitution cypher. Research will continue, if youtubing the skull doesn't produce a translation.
