slusho headline...

i decided to try and get pure text of the headline at the bottom of the slusho page (6不だけじゃ足りない).. just in case it didn't say what we all though (since after translating "you can't drink just 6 in freetranslation.com i got something waaaayy longer) - but i can't find the very second character; i've looked everywhere. it's just a cross with a an upsidedown 'v' attached to the horizontal stroke... i can't find it coupled with the next symbol in the kanji list either.. without it it now translates into "It is not sufficient with only 6 non"... had nothing better to do at work i swear!

anyway i'm sure adding that missing symbol will just make it "drink" or "you" maybe... foiled.

That second kanji isn't broken down into two, it's one symbol, which explains why you weren't getting anything that makes sense. let me see what I can get out of it.

Okay. The phrase that's there is 6杯だけじゃ足りない. That translates out to "Just six cups aren't enough," roughly. Or "You can't drink just six."

so... dead end. :<

株 This looks to be it

6株だけじゃ足りない

entered in babel fish produces:

Just 6 stocks are not enough

I found the symbol at platt.jp, investigated it for the ARG but went no where with it cause all it said was: "Welcome! To page of corporation planet"

No, Cysa... the kanji you posted has too many strokes. It's not the right one. It's 杯, I promise. Sad

Guys, if you don't know the simplest things about Japanese, like how to tell kanji from hiragana or katakana, I'd say leave the translation stuff to others. I won't blame you for trying, but as this thread shows, the results are way off.

To reiterate everything this thread discussed:

The text on the Slusho site reads:
6杯だけじゃ足りない

It is translated to:
Just 6 cups are not enough.

Which is essentially the same as "You can't drink just six." It's equally as ambiguous to any foreshadowing, as it requires at least 7 cups to either satiate your hunger/thirst/addiction or transform you into a monstrous, furious, and terrifying whale-lion-cthulu-voltron-godzilla-chimera-monster.

END TRANSMISSION.

Actually, the correct regional, correlational and vernacular symbolism produces a radically different interpretation of the kanji:

"Eight Is Enough"
