Idea By all means, have an impressive launch, but before you do plan a more impressive end game. It is better to go out with a frenzied bang rather than a whimper.

I would recommend that you don't release the bulk of your sites at the start; rather be patient and release them steadily.

On the other hand, the magic of an ARG is creating the illusion that there was this whole other world already in existance that we just stumbled upon. In their world, all of their sites already existed. You should find blog entries dating a year ago, for example, if that character didn't just spring up out of thin air with no history.

It should be up to the players to immerse themselves in the fiction, and not think every piece of every page is contributing to a puzzle from day one. One could also argue that not every Update is a puzzle or a key element in the story line. Fiction should have rich depth. If only they were called ARFs instead of ARGs, ...
