Likewise can you forward it to myspace.com/diablo__zero
Can anyone verify whether or not you can fake a forwarding message. I know you can fake the text, but would there be any other markers pointing to the original message.

Uh, I deleted it thinking it was useless...
Edit: lol, found them in my trash
How do you forward messages in your trash?

I just messed around with a forward on my quagmire site (myspace.com/gigidygigidygigidygigidy)... you can change the actual text quiet easily so it looks untouched.... however I couldn't change the link in the original message's 'from' section (you can normally click on the name and get taken to the profile)[keep in mind, unless Colby actually received some type of message from Rob, he would have had to change this link, if he was forwarding another message]
I think I am having trouble because the generic link uses a 'token' code as well as a friend ID number

I'll do some testing with it but I really can't conceive of a way that he could alter myspace's html in a forwarded message. Which if true then makes me wonder if he actually did recieve a message from Rob why would he use a friends message and alter it to look like Rob sent it? He could have just used Rob's email and change the contents of the message. Very strange.
Oh, the "token" can be deleted and the link will still be valid. Reads something like id=1234567&mytoken=54321 right? Just delete &myto.......

Oh yes.... I see.
Would you have to use Rob's friend ID in editing the link if the original message that was forwarded was from someone other than Rob? I ask because I can't seem to find Rob's friend ID anywhere...

In the forwarded message, if it is even possible to change, you would NOT see his friends id. That is to assume like I said it is possible to change myspace's html in a forwarded message and this time he did a thorough job changing all the links. I'm assuming someone sent you the forward then? Would it be possible for you to send that to me then. http://www.myspace.com/tomtomthepirate
I'd appreciate it. I think the more people we have working over this message the more conclusive our results can be.

Nah man I dont have a copy.... I just noticed with forwards and stuff I'd done before. The 'from' part has a link in the name

Update on that. There is absolutely no way to change, alter, delete any of Myspace's html in a forwarded message or anywhere else on the site. The most you could do is add your own html to what already exists. Theoretically you could alter the way the entire page looks with cascading style sheets and make any message look however you wanted it to including the links. Problems with that though. I do believe the messages are set up as such that you could not alter anything outside of the "container" of the message, just like with the comments. Also, it would still show the original html in the source. So if anyone has the forwarded message from colby scour the page source to confirm that it is indeed from Rob. He can still change the text in the message (as it is inside the editable message "cantainer") but it would validate that he indeed recieved some sort of message from Rob.
Then one would have to wonder why the original html was altered from a friends message instead of just altering the original message sent from Rob.

can you get Rob's friend ID (set myself a personal challenge)? Or any of the other characters, assuming that somehow the numbers wheren't randomly generated by MySpace, they might mean something

Rob's is 201275979. Myspace assigns these based on when the account was created. The more recent the sign up the bigger the number.
{EDIT}
Here are the others
Jamie = 217778567
lil = 201293524
Hawk = 201291045
Beth = 201289854
Hud = 201294483
Lena = 201292208

As I said in this thread Colbyrook has had a chance to rethink how to manipuate things.
A saved 'submit' form that's been altered has been done elsewhere before, and often allows spoofed info, altered fields, and invalid values to be used.
(I set a Yahoo profile I have to have a 4 digit age by a method like this.)
