in this particular version of it.. i feel as though you can see something rather monstrous walking between buildings at 1:21 (right after it appears the military has fired in that general direction).. i won't post a still because as a still the effect is totally gone and I don't know how to do the gif animations.. but if you go frame by frame here (+/- 2 seconds) it looks like a giant (?green?) foot taking a giant step..


ps - this could be the "smoke monster" (aka nothing but debris) as isolated from the previous trailer.. in which case, totally disregard all of this

edit: please see post below by "evil" who has animated and screencap'd this portion of the trailer, and i'm leaning even more toward 'just smoke' now than before..

That IS a good copy - I did way too much BS speculation on the last one and every cleaner copy makes me look like a raving idiot. Those're definitely car lights in the sub and the red stuff I was seeing earlier looks like a hand being put over the camera now.

Think I'm going to wait until the HD official hits before I go back to pausing scene by scene and speculating.

-Though I will allow some of my BSing to go to agreeing with cmg above me. It could be just smoke, but I see, I hate to call it 'something,' appearing to move out of the shot and behind the building. He's right, pausing it doesn't show a damn thing, but movement makes it kinda look organic.

I did at once think that there was a onster being shown (right after Rob says his first line) but it turned out to be a building leaning (which was mentioned before, but I could never see clearly enough to believe it)

but now things are a lot clearer

I noticed something else... when you see the Horse... you notice the background on the left... its like they're FAR away from the action...

and with the exploding girl... idk... it looks like they punch her or something LOL
maybe they "pop" her?

and with Rob holding the camera and talking into it, it helps confirm what I was saying a long time ago... "Hud probably Dies, and Rob takes over"

....which sucks cuz he's like his main dude...

"The Exploding Girl" In this copy of the trailer, you can make out 3 figures. Left, Center, and Right. The figure on the right appears to "wind-up" and hit the figure in the center's mid-section. While the figure on the left appears to steadily support or restrain the figure in the center. This video is clearer, thankyou for posting it. There's plenty to pause, rewind, and speculate about!

@Shadowfury~ That's what I was thinking but I was afraid to say it. XB I don't see "rudimentary wings" though. Then again, rudimentary wings are tiny tiny feeble things so we probably wouldn't see them anyway...

From what I can see its a Scorpion/Lizard thing. The head can be seen moving near the bottom and the long thing reaching to the top is the tail, you can also see four huge ^-shaped legs. Look closely in the animated pic.

I'll do an outline of it for you.

It does look like a fat tentacle where the 'head' is, and part of the bod looks suckerlike.

The exploding woman gif in the other thread... shudder. So we've got a critter movie AND body horror. Somethin' for everyone!

Thanks, Evil. I've been struggling to put something together to show something similar, so I'm glad you got it up there.

To me, it looks like a two-legged, green, T-Rex-ish looking creature. To my eyes, we're looking at the profile view of its right side, and it's walking to the right, and quickly disappears behind the building. I can't quite make out a tail, but maybe.
