[SPEC] The textile At one point in the trailer, you can see a sign that says "The Textile"
I checked it out, and it appears that thetextile.com is parked by GoDaddy.
Can someone run a who is?

That's from a printed advertisment on 405 Broadway, advertising the Penn Textile Company.

[INFO] Agreed, useless info adds to realism

Things are more realistic when things don't have a deep meaning. in real life, everything said, heard, and seen doesn't have an impact on your life.

actually.... its not completly useless.... you can see the same street 3 times in the trailer.
1: When the SOL`s Head Crashes into the streets.
2: exactly at 0:48 in the HD trailer you can make out "the text" sign when ppl are running away from whatever
3: in the scene the military fights the monster....
*edit*

hi new to the forums.
just wanted to point out that "The text" means..... nothing ! yeah right
seen at 0:48 in the trailer
this is when the SOL`s head is thrown into the city... wich could mean that the monster rushes into the same street right after its throws the head in and in that moment the army appears.... but issnt that weird ?! how can the army react THAT fast ? in new york !!!!
there you go
Edit - for pics see sOuLii's post here - Mikeyj

hey all, this is my first time posting, been here watching from afar for awhile tho
okay, here is a couple of things to look at, wasnt sure where to post them, but they are sorta along the same lines as this 'the text' business
k, in the HD trailer:
0:58--our main characters are running down a deserted street, on the right, there is a long billboard with the word 'classic', there is some other text, but the perspective throws off what it could say-this is most likely nothing
0:33--after the SoL head settles down, you see on the right the back of a street sign or traffic sign --there is something spraypainted on the back of it--dont remember what it is, i dont have the trailer with me, i am at work
there is a couple of other things, but i dont remember them off the top of my head, thought i would bring the above up though, with the way people are analyzing this trailer! i can post screen caps tonight when i get back from work!

Here you can see the sign with "Street View" of google maps. You can zoom, pan and "walk" simulating the monster observations

you can also tell in that first pic how badly the fire is dropped into the scene, the black around the people's heads.

The Textile advert is part of the real world location, it's not a hidden message of some sort. The same can also be surely said of the 'Classic' sign.

yah figured as much
but with the amount of time people are spending going over the trailer, thought it should be mentioned
