Re: [SPEC]So, are we expecting any soundtrack in the movie??
A question

From the very start .. te very first 4th of July trailer.. it showcased "Timbaland's Music in the background"

So, first of all, sorry if this has been discussed already.. it probably has..
but well, there's a tv spot, that has some music...

but

the movie pretends to be all "recorded at handcam", so being realistic, it cant have soundtrack, what do we expect?
90 minutes without music?
i dont think it must contain music, because i think it will be full of suspense enough, and music will ruin the realistic surrounding..

but on the other hand..
maybe its too much 90 minutes without music...think of it, music can create drama and all those things.

i personally think that there wont be music at all, and it will rock, but what do you think?

I would laugh my ass off if they used Thousand Foot Krutch's Phenomenon in the credits. It's like Cloverfield's unofficial anthem.

Disc 2:
Coconut Records - West Coast
Kings of Leon - Taper Jean Girl
Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls
Scissors for Le - Got Your Moments
Parliament - Give Up the Funk
Gorillaz - 19-2000
Spoon - The Underdog
Kings of Leon - Pistol of Fire
Architecture in Helsinki - Do the Whirlwind
The Black Keys - Grown So Ugly
Bright Eyes - Four Winds
Joan as Policewoman - The Ride
Ratatat - Seventeen Years
Of Montreal - Wraith Pinned To The Mist and Other Games
MuCC - Fuzz

This is thus far Rob's Party Mix, with the exception of The Blood Arm - Do I Have Your Attention, because it's already on Disc 1.

Keep in mind, if you folks like this anyone can DIY a soundtrack CD yourself by getting all the songs and dropping them into a playlist. Nero and other burning software can read playlist files so that you can burn a CD that easily. iTunes, Winamp, Windows Media Player, and MusicMatch can burn natively of course.

Oh yeah, iTunes Store - that's that place where you pay for your music...
I'm just used to that Gnutella...

Did you huys ever find out what the first song heard in the teaser trailer was? The one with the electric guitars that started when Rob entered the apartment.

*AHEM*
Please read the whole thread - the Disc 1 compilation was only songs actually heard on the promotional media and website and pages. Also note from this post:

So the first song is The Blood Arm - Do I Have Your Attention.
Ironic title, eh?

The first tune heard doesn't appear to sound anything like what I've found about wolfmother via Google (the song supposedly used is "Joker and the Thief") which from my reading is the third tune in the teaser trailer. It's heard after Timblerland's one and cuts out when the monster roars, followed by the blackout.

I realise the point of the topic Euchre, but as the party was mentioned earlier on I figured I'd ask as I'd checked a previous topic that was devoted to the music to the trailer, and it didn't appear to mention the first track.

Thanks for supplying me with the information.
