Anyone else noticed theres a hell of a lot of invisible binary on the first auth.oph file?
EDIT on all them actually

Lots of binary yes, but what do you mean by invisible?

Start highlitghting and keep dragging right for what seems like ages. Theres certain groups that can only be highlighted when another isnt.
In meandbecs.jpg. the monument top right looks photoshopped in.

It's not PSd in... They're just immensley close to the lense

In all the pictures of them, they're out of focus and their surroundings are clearly seen. Maybe where they are is what's supposed to be the clue?

The portrait gallery is in London... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Irving is about the man in the statue.

Silver - what are you viewing them in? Notepad doesn't do that for me.

Toasty whenever you click on the first two or three files, you can select view source and then almost double the code appears

Ah, and that difference wouldn't show in notepad. There's the problem.

Yeah, since nothing says we're meant to view these in IE, I'd say the invisible part isn't intended.

The invisible part is just an artifact of viewing the file in a browser and how it doesn't wrap text while the source browser probably does.. Check the source to be sure there's no formatting of the text.

.OPH files 002-006 are all completely identical.

Ya know, I think that the location is also what is important in this section of clues.. all the pictures have some sort of " scene" or object in them that I feel is more inportant than the people ...

Its not a trout Elite but it's pure gibberish lol

That's all the Binary is giving me.

And as I asked in the chat... What do people think I should tell Jason thus far?

That we've got the Dallas thing but we're still looking into it?

I think this will move the game along

so if the file in the first one is the one that isn't identical, does this mean that it is the significant one??

from the chat you know my position, but I'll put it here for the record, I say we tell him we have it, but that EVERYTHING on it is encrypted, that gives us the option of slowly "revealing" bits and pieces after we "decrypt" them, i.e. determine whether or not he needs to know.

Well here's the copy of the email I'm about to send.

J,

I've got good news and bad news... The good news is that we've finally picked up the object from D.P.L... It's a USB Stick. The bad news? It's completely and utterly encrypted, we're working on it now... Will keep you posted.
