FWIW, for those of us theorizing that something will happen with OGR once the season finale has aired in all major markets, we're about 8 or 9 hours away from it airing in Australia and New Zealand, which will finish the season in all major markets.

So, if those of us thinking this are right, something could hit in the next day. Maybe. It is, of course, pure speculation.

Have to hope that they might drop up a trail, but I kinda doubt it, just because of the huge deal they made out of the Date and Location on the commercial. Still hopeful though... Very Happy

It appeared taht New Zealand was going to split part 2 and 3 into two shows rahter than airing them together- at least if the airdates on the home page of Lostpedia are to be believed... might be another week before they have the finale in total?

Hmm, crap. You are correct.

I think there maybe something similar to what was done with Find815, especially factoring the possible Hoodlum connection.
The yahoo Australian portal (Yahoo!7) was used to deliver separate clues or different codes. (ie; "Upon completion of the game, the Season 4 clue word "MATTHEW" is given (when played on abc.com). When played on Yahoo!7, the clue word "ABADDON" is given." Lostpedia ) Though it was not necessary to know both words, either would work. Maybe this time around there may need to be a collaborative effort?

been following this thread since i saw the commercial during the finale, saw some of the posts about substitution cyphers and such recently and remembered the first night i saw the commercial on the site, i paused it during the time it says the dates of comicon and in the background are two hands holding beakers....the hands look like they are in odd positions to be holding things, i thought it could possibly be sign language, it would be only 2 numbers or 2 letters or a combo of both, thought maybe you could somehow use it w/ the cypher

Hey what about the formulas written on the clear board by the lady towards the end? Can anyone flip these around and see if they have any correlation or relationship to the Velenzetti Equation or maybe even the formulas written on Faraday's Blackboard or notebook in "The Constant"? Or to any other formula used in the series for that matter?

Far out I'm sooooo excited! I haven't even seen the finale (I'm in Australia where it starts in just under three hours from now) and I'm already wrapped in the new ARG (if thats what it is, and not just a promotion for comicon). I bet I won't be able to sleep tonight. Trying so hard to avoid going on lostpedia and finding out what happens in the finale. GAHHHH!

I was truying to send an email at infoSPLAToctagonglobalrecruiting.com or webmasterSPLAToctagonglobalrecruiting.com and got - of course - the error message (bold marking by me) :

Quote:
PERM_FAILURE: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 553 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) (state 14).

Does it mean, the domain doesn't contain any possible emails addresses?

I'm not sure if they look anything like the other equations on Lost, but if they're real they use pretty advanced math. I've had Calculus I, II, and III and differential equations and I don't recognize it as something I've done before. If it's real, it's a very specific application; the actual math being shown isn't too hard, but with that many variables there's not even enough equations up there to know what they all mean. It kind of looks like stock photo math gibberish, but some of it is in the right format (like the infinite integral). There's definitely a lot of math that's over my head, though, so it's hard to tell for sure. I'm not so good at the calculus necessary for time travel! Very Happy

EDIT: I looked around in my physics book, and the h with the bar through it is called the Reduced Planck Constant, which is used in quantum mechanics. K is something called a propagator, but I haven't taken quantum yet so I have no clue what that means. I couldn't find an equation of that form in my book, though I'll try to look around later to see if I missed something or if it's equivalent to another form. Those symbols look like they might come up in the Schrödinger or Dirac equations, which both form part of the foundation for quantum mechancics.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If they're Lost related, maybe they have something to do with the exotic matter from the last episode?

I'm still not convinced, though, that this has anything to do with the game; it doesn't seem like they would make us wade through quantum mechanics to get clues.

Probably because they don't expect folks from down-under to be attending Comic Con in San Diego. Crying or Very sad

Anyone who's been to Comic-Con knows that this is utter nonsense.
