Note I've translated it as "for IPT," i.e. Independent Power Triumvirate, but that's only my guess. <3

OH MY GOD!! Amazing job, Relia! we finally got it. So, is that it? Is the entire Journal solved now??

Nicely done, Reila. I can't believe I went through that whole stupid book multiple times and I always just skimmed over that chart. I was so sure it had to do with the other grid for some reason.

The only question now is whether or not this was the thing that we were 'missing'. The only obvious thing I can think of right now is the last grid in the diary. If I'm not mistaken, it has not been used yet. Otherwise, if they were simply waiting for someone to figure out that diary entry, then I would expect some more activity soon.

Yes; the entire journal appears to be decoded at this point, but I do not see a clear path to take from here. Mars' direct involvement with the I.P.T. had already been established in entry #5. The new information we've received proves that she doubted the I.P.T. before the incident occurred, but since Ms. Madison does not date her diary entries, we're left with no timeframe with respect to those doubts.

Best guess: this is not what we were "missing". That said, this diary was given to you for a reason, was it not? There has to be something in one of the entries, decoded or not, that we aren't seeing.

According to the site's whois entry, it was edited on 2/6/09, but I don't see any notable changes in the source code.

I've tried the obvious web site adaptions; there is no:
http://www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ipt.htm
http://www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ipt.html
http://www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ipt.asp
http://www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ipt.php
http://www.thisismymilwaukee.com/ipt/

As an added "bonus" I tried all those combinations looking for a login page too, but to no avail.

In short: I'm out. I don't see any way to proceed at this point, but I maintain that the key should be somewhere in this journal.

I updated the first post with the decoded entry. You guys are pretty much amazing.

I think I remember BostonBeats saying there might be something hidden on one of the blank pages of the diary... did we ever get any follow-up on that?

Actually there's another grid in the ARH book that everyone has missed and will be needed eventually, but ... whatever. Shrug.

Lol, sorry. Yeah, I meant ARH. That last grid hasn't been used for anything yet. I mentioned before that we may have to fill the underscores using information from the column above, though I was unable to gather any meaningful information from adding them up. If anyone has any other ideas I'd be glad to hear them.

I'm glad you guys got that last passages decoded!

It's good info to have, but it looks like you may have to look back through all the material for something that could have been "missed" ... does the new Act referred to have anything to do with the Act 's from ARH?

I'm going to continue following along because I think this is a really interesting game, and fun to read

are you talking about the "simple... and direct" grid with the underscores? if so, that one was used earlier on to solve a different puzzle:

http://mymilwaukee.wikibruce.com/Puzzles#Simple_..._and_Direct_.28p.27.29

i'm not entirely clear if "the long walk" has actually been used for anything yet.

the page 27 grid with the underscores was solved back on Dec. 9th. the table on page 26, however, remains a mystery. you can read how the page 27 decryption finally unraveled here:

here:

and here:

Edit: yes, the long walk graph remains unused to date as well.

Woah, cool. I guess I must have missed that one, but wasn't the grid on page 26 used to solve the first diary entry?

I have no idea what the long walk graph could represent. The only thing I can think of is a sound clip of some sort, but I've never heard of reproducing audio from sound waves. Plus, the graph totally curves. I've recorded a lot of music, but I've never seen a sound wave that curves like that, so I think I'm gonna go ahead and rule out audio.

yes, the table on page 26 was used on the diary earlier in this thread. so i guess that means "the long walk" is still open for use in something or other...

Awesome job Relia!!! I never in a million years would have thought of that.

And I saw someone ask about the hidden messages in the rest of the diary and there wasn't any. I tried a bunch of different methods (blacklight, heating it for lemon juice) and there was nothing
