Apologies for crappy webcam photos.

The sleeve and back are done with paint, and the handprints. The cuff, pocket detail, and little 'Marble Hornets' on the breast are embroidered.
Just saying: never embroidering again.

{EDIT:} Derp derp, spelling. Also, please ignore my face in those photos. I am horribly ill.

I'm jealous, that hoodie is amazing!

This seems as good of place as any.

I am posting this in response to someone suggesting there were multiple masky masks.

I've looked at the masky masks from Warning, Entry#18, and Entry #19, Entry ######, and Entry #23.

They all appear to be the same mask.

This is great, but I'd also like to see pictures from someone who thinks there are multiple maskys to see why they think that.

Also, I need to study some of these, because I'm totally going to be Masky next year for Halloween!

I made mine a few weeks ago. Behold!

I used a mask I found at Michael's, black acrylic paint, and a Sharpie for touch-up work. I'm working on a new one at the moment; hopefully it'll be less crooked.

Though, actually, I'm considering making a Skully mask instead. Has anyone made one of those before?

I tried a skully mask back when we were fangirling over MH in the first season! It looks pretty bad, though! The mouth was really crooked, made me wish I could create distortion IRL just to cover the wiggly lines! I'd say, use a sharpy rather than paint, and watch out because the lips cause a challenge in making the lines look straight, bein' all bumpy. I don't know where it's gotten to, or I'd upload a picture of it, sorry!

Resurrecting this thread, but I understand that the mask is a default Halloween mask. I've been going through the possibilities and the Chenille Kraft Plain Plastic Mask is the closest I can find. Is that what you guys used, or should I keep looking for the perfect match?

(jesus I sound like I'm talking about soulmates)

If you have Michael's craft stores in your area, go for that, they have the exact mask there. If not, probably the one you linked would work.

I actually asked someone on here, and they directed me to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018BOXTO

As soon as I can bother ordering it, it looks like a perfect match for it. Just hope I'm a bit better with a sharpie than I think I am. Razz

Derp.
I checked the nearest Micheals', and they only had the masquerade masks, hidden amongst a lot of pink feather boas. Not the best in organization, that store, and despite keeping their aisles short they still somehow managed to turn the place into a labyrinth. I asked around to the employees and they said that if they had any masks they would have been sent to die amongst the pink boas.

Regardless, I patrolled the store for half an hour. It seemed I expected to find the mask in hidden under a basket, or maybe chucked away into a dark closet, alone and cold with no one to slather black paint all over it. A small piece of me wanted to be surprise-attacked by Masky himself in one of the more questionably-lit aisles, leading into a fight that would culminate in me prying the mask from his cold, seizing fingers, standing atop the towering heap of employee corpses our fight had produced. Indeed, I will become the new Masky, new world ruler of Micheals' labyrinth!

But I was never jumped by such a person, and in hindsight curbstomping Masky would destroy the entire point of having the mask in the first place. I left the store as a heinous shadow of my former self, with a growing hatred of all things not-mask in my belly.

Later in the night I sated myself with the tears of curbstomped orphans and ice cream, so that's funny too.
Next on the hit-list: Ben Franklins'.

Found a Mask-It mask shell at A.C. Moore. Picked up some paint brushes and acrylic paint as well, total cost was around 10 bucks.
The results after mauling the mask with paint
And, of course, the obligatory photoshopped shot...

Yes, that's me wearing the mask.
