TV screens. In the Analysis lessons video. I thought the back were windows, but no. TV screens. The same TV screens at the back of the Doctor when he frees Idris from the cage.

I tried emailing the torchwood thing. It didn't say the email didn't get through, but I did accidentally ask for the password.

It was in the first post. Some fan based (we assume) details asking if anyone had seen the Doctor, and contact details were left.

New Finding...

So I can't make it out, but I'm watching thru Episode 4 again and I noticed that Idris says something sorta... well odd... almost backwards. I grabbed the clip in audacity and have a preview... first it's the clip from the episode... normal speed... (Forboding music... then gibberish, then she gasps and says "What was that?") at that point I reverse that whole clip at normal speed.... then finally I slowed the tempo of the gibberish to -50%... Thoughts on this? It takes place right after the Doctor and Amy/Rory go to have a "look around"... My clip starts around 10:45 in the episode.

This might have a connection to the video BBC released before they aired The Impossible Astronaut.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/videos/p00gj9jm

It's got the same style - the black and white footage with the random static. Also worth noting is that the name (Monsters Are Real) is an anagram of A Nameless Terror.

Of course, it could also just be advertising for the new season, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

I thought that at first. But after listening to the gibbering a bit more, I'm wondering if it's just another language? I know I'm not any type of expert but it has a bit of a West African or Swahili(?) sound to me, at least at the middle and the end of the phrase. And I may have no idea what I'm talking about. Do we have any language experts in house?

Edit: Thanks for the edit work by the way! I was hoping not to have to do that myself. Wink

in the reversed version of that clip, I swear I hear her say at the end: "the resistor is out"

Also, in the normal version, I know I've heard that word she says at the very end ("emoue") somewhere, although I don't know from where. This adds credence to the language possibility, and makes me think my first point might be coincidence.

ETA: I think that sounds familiar because "samoue" (pronounced the same but with an s) was an ancient Egyptian word I heard used on an episode of Stargate-SG1 I just watched a few days ago. So it might mean nothing.

"Averus ezero abitsu imowee" is the 'text' of it floating around the DW boards, but I am not sure where they got it from.

Cipher

Quote:
Averus ezero abitsu imowee

is it possible that this may be a cipher?

and hello. i am Doctor Nadario. i am a good friend of Duke9509.

i am not a lurker however, i was recently introduced into this forum by duke.

in the meanwhile, i will be cramming these words (Averus ezero abitsu imowee) through as many cipher solvers as i know (which is a lot).

There's a chance that this wouldn't be the correct spelling also... I noticed that the first word sounds kinda latin.

'averus' in latin supposedly means 'average'...

I tried running the gibberish through an anagram solver...and I discovered that there are a lot of possible things it could be. Two of them contained the word 'sweetie', but other than that seemed nonsensical...

A Braveries Sweetie Mu Ouzo
A Braveries Sweetie Um Ouzo

Are we sure we are spelling the gibberish correctly? (funny sentence...)

I wouldn't trust Google's Latin translator. It's DEFINITELY still in alpha.
Try putting in the phrase "she is too young and weak"
re-translate the phrase you get (puer est et solutis) back into English, one word at a time (using an actual Latin dictionary), taking into account Latin grammar: "He is a boy and he has been payed"

According to my Latin dictionary, the word for "average" is mediocris.

Averus has no definition as a word, however erus is "master."
edit: verus also has a couple meanings: a spike of some kind, or, true/fair
(kind of ironic, the word for "spike, such as the point of a spear" is the same as "true, right, fair, proper")

edit 2: I also just remembered that, in Latin, Vs are said like Ws, so, what she said might not be Latin at all (or at least not properly pronounced Latin)

Much like the two parts of these episodes I guess. Curses that we USers have to wait two weeks! Why don't I live in the UK again?

The 'Lonely Assassins' BBC website page isn't a clue :/

try putting anything after the '.../dw/' you always get the password and username thing, like try this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/superman

But i still think the Lonely Assassins anagram is intentional Razz i always thought 'Analysis Lessons' was a bit of an awkward phrase since it came up, so it must have some relevence Smile

Maybe there are clues as to what we are looking for in one of the Weeping Angel episodes? Time of Angels, Flesh and Stone or Blink?

I'm new to this blog btw, hi Very Happy
