THE WATCHER - New web series inspired by Marble Hornets Someone stands outside staring up at our window every night. Hi everyone,
I was inspired by Marble Hornets and started producing a little web series of my own. It is still ongoing, and we are still shooting, but I would like to get some opinions on which direction people would like to see it go in. It's quite frightening, and being played off as real, and so far I have gotten a lot of phone calls / emails from friends asking me what's going on, if I'm okay, etc.

The concept: A couple starts noticing a guy standing outside of their apartment window, staring up at them, for several nights. Calls to 911 do not bring police to the scene and attempts to scare the man off don't work. They start recording the events as video evidence as the drama gets more and more intense.

decent quality, not bad acting, although the beginning is a lot of monologue but I'm probably just a lazy watcher haha
This looks promising though, cheers! I enjoyed watching it

Sweet, thanks! I am also trying to figure out how to publicize it - does anyone know what Marble Hornets did?

I don't think they advertised much, it would have been a breaker for their story, stuff like this needs to be discovered by itself. If you start spreading it on sites where there is no slender community, saying "hey this is what I made" you kinda remove some of the power that it has because you admit of having made it as a filmproject. Look at it this way, if the Blair Witch Project would have been posted on youtube in '05 or '06 instead of being spread as a commercial movie, it would have made more debate errupt. The wonderful opportunity you have with a show like this is that you have people who see it as realistic as their own reality, promoting it as a movie would remove much of the power that imagination could have filled in. Imo, I would not advertise it much further and see where it goes, perhaps re-upload on a channel where there aren't other clips showing that you're into making movies
I don't know if people agree with me on this, it's my own opinion hahaha troll away guys!

Hey man,
OK, so don't panic - but this thread may well be deleted.
See, the problem for the admins is that it's forbidden to post about your story/ARG/series yourselves. Especially if you post it out of character as you did. I didn't make that up, so don't blame me.
However, your series is good, and there are some ways to promote it. For example, PM one of the posters on here who post a lot, and ask them kindly to promote your series by making a thread. This works wonders.
There's also one poster who publishes every link he'll get sent, as long as the show is good. I'll leave it to you to figure out who it is.
So yeah, what else?? Pretty good series from what I've seen so far, but be sure to lock this thread or prepare for its deletion and get a new one started by contacting somebody.

I could've sworn I read somewhere that we weren't supposed to do that. Wasn't it the forum rules? It said to not pretend like it is really happening cause everyone wasn't idiots? And not making puppet accounts and so on?

Yes but right here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31684 they say it pretty clearly, anyway just do as anonymous tells you, send it to one or more of the accounts who post things they recieve that way your stuff hits the web whilst still having that extra "panache" which makes slendervlogs so über

andrewjneis, we'll give you a pass on posting this yourself, but next time take it to the TrailheadTroll if you can't find anyone else. He's taken on the job of posting stuff like this for people.
The real rule, and the one we won't tolerate being broken, is discussing your own project within this thread. Lurk, read along, enjoy the compliments (or learn from the criticism) but let your audience enjoy it without your input.
I would like you to PM me though and let me know if this story is Slender Man related, or just inspired. It may determine where this thread lives. Thank you!

Looks promising but the dialogue sounds very awkward and wooden.

I like it. though your characters seem to have missed the fact that lying to the police after posting the evidence on youtube may not have been the best idea.
A question though - is this actually slendy or a separate, slendy inspired character?

Thank you for all the awesome feedback! Let's delete this thread, then, and start over from scratch with a re-post from someone else.
