Just as an organizational suggestion, you might want to put the dates for the week in the first post and/or thread subject.

Also, I'm not sure if you intended this, but the playlist you linked was marked as "private."

I'm going to put them in order of how I think they happened

Entry #2 - Before Alex realizes the operator is following him

Entry #5 - The Operator was definitely following Alex at this point, but not making himself seen just yet.

Entry #4 - Alex has had blackouts by this point, but can't figure out why. Perhaps Alex sees The Operator and remembers him from standing under the light, and thinks he's somehow involved with the mysterious blackouts he's been having. He pursues The Operator but fails.

Entry #7 - Nothing to say about this entry that it doesn't say for itself. Totheark had an alternative set of footage for this scene though (advocate) and it implies he had access to the unused footage from filming. Who better to have that than Seth, the cameraman/editor? Alex figures out in this entry that the operator is following him to filming locations

Entry #1 - Comes just before entry #6. This takes place during the summer of 2006 near the beginning of the start of filming of marble hornets. The Operator is outside Alex's house, and this is most likely not his first visit. Alex is aware he is being stalked, and that this person is most likely involved with his blackouts.

Entry #6 - Continuation of entry #1.

Entry #8 - We hear Alex ripping up paper. My theory is that he is convinced the operator has gotten inside his house (perhaps watched entry 14, or heard the operator walking around/saw him at some point before the operator made him black out the same way he does to jay in season 1). He puts the paper on the floor (the same way there's paper on the floor in Brian's house in season 1) to hear the operator walk on it if he is inside the house. The slender sickness has started to settle in. Alex is writing "help" and "sees me" on paper, implying his life is shattered by this stalker.

Entry #3 - We see Alex setting timers on when to change tapes. He most definitely has experienced blackouts at this point, as he wouldn't be filming himself every second otherwise. He wants to know what is causing them, and filming himself is a way of surveillance. He has become extremely paranoid at this point. He even films himself buying tapes. he considers nowhere safe.

Entry #9 - Alex's paranoia is at an all time high, and he's cracking, and probably starting to experience more violent slender sickness around this time.

Regards - Nothing crazy. I think it says "look closely" or something. Just proves my tta = seth theory a little bit.

Quick clarification, are we pretending we haven't seen the later entries for this?

So one thing I didn't have in my marble hornets notepad, the "original" event happened in the summer of 2006.

entry 1: that slendy necksnap. I always wondered what was going on in this entry, was slendy caressing the pole? Perhaps he was watching someone else at the time, then sensed Alex? The most important question though, was the audio removed, or did slendy distortion make it not record? It was most likely removed by TTA, as seen later on.

entry 2: Likely one of the first entries chronologically. It's notable that the dog is scared of slendy as well. A possible slendy sighting at :45 on the left side of the street, however it's probably just a lens flare.

entry 3: I'm half in agreement with pravado, you can hear him rip the paper 5 times. He then puts one sheet aside, and leaves. I personally think that he chose one for the wall of papers, then leaves to throw others on the ground. Perhaps he's just ripping out a bunch to draw on, then hears something and leaves? Maybe he just ripped out one page, but he was careful not to ruin his drawing, so he did it in 5, smaller sections. There are a few possibilities, none of them really game changing from each other. I just wish we could've seen a better shot of his entryway floor, would've answered this question in a heartbeat.

entry 4: Alex does seem to be hunting slendy at this point. Also I really think slendy isn't used to the world and is learning how it works. There are just so many entries where he seems to be like a curious child... Also notable, off camera he appears to move at superhuman speed, on camera though he moves like a normal human. I've also noticed, at the end the camera slumps sideways and goes down before cutting off. This could just be alex letting the camera down to his side in defeat, but maybe he got attacked by the operator?

entry 5: Though it's pretty agreed upon that slendy didn't appear, at 2:26 you can see something that looks an awful lot like him next to a tree that's on alex/jays side of the field from the tower (diagram to explain what I mean jay Xtrees with operatorX ____field____ |tower|) also notable oog:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What they say during the distortion isn't important in any way. This was discovered do to season 1 dvd bonus features

entry 6: slendy is continuing his investigation of alex's house. Continuing with his odd curiosity.

entry 7: slendy at 1:35. Alex sees him, gets spooked and drives away. I know I missed this my first viewing. Also notable Jay mentions a girl off camera. Also this wouldn't be a true synchtube if no one mentioned the loop of unhappiness.

entry 8: The most interesting thing to me in this one, is that one of the pages says "speaks to me". I don't think any of the other characters in the series have ever mentioned the operator speaking in any way, shape or form. Screenshot from original thread. Maybe the operator is just interested in Alex because he can talk with him? That may explain why he's special and appears to work for the operator later on. Here's another one with a page where we never figured out what it said. Also the first sighting of the operator symbol can be seen here, depicting the heads on the slenderman drawings.

entry 9: We start seeing Alex getting more irritable easily. Also a debunked "nub theory" for lack of better wording, tim's shirt has a nuclear monkey on it. Nothing more.

Regards: From the wiki, here's the background noise flipped and sped up. A creepy short song. It should be noted the code was never figured out for sure. In morse code it's GKQ which doesn't appear to mean anything. If you count the sides of the squares (12, 15, 11) you get LOK, which makes "look closely" the current agreed upon message for this TTA. Probably mocking Jay, telling him to look closely for the operator.[/url]

About Regards:
If you count for how long each set of "/" is on screen, you get "--.-.---.-". In case it is Morse code, the problem is that we don't know where each character starts and where it stops, thus "GKQ" being only one of the options. Unless, of course, there's something I'm missing or I should know. If this is the case, please tell me because I hate talking about things I actually have no idea about.

I've been searching a bit and found out that there's a list of "standardized three-letter Morse encodings" called Q-codes. They all stand for questions and begin with a Q, and since a Q is "---.-", this could be the case. After rearranging the rest, the possibilities are QAQ, QJA, and QWK.
QWK doesn't correspond to any Q-code, so we're left with QAQ and QJA. QAQ stands for "Am I near prohibited/restricted/danger area?", and QJA means "Is my [a)tape b)mark and space] reversed?". I don't know, "Is my tape reversed?" sounds to me like a funny coincidence, since the audio is indeed reversed.

The more I write about this, the more I feel I'm trying too hard and I'm totally wrong. But hey, I was bored. Rolling Eyes

I figure Alex didn't want anyone knowing what he was saying in the muted clips. In Entry #6 I imagine The Operator starts planting ideas in Alex's head to kill his friends and Alex is trying to resist.

So if you were new to this or indeed watching them as they came out, how would you find the TTA videos without knowing about the Twitter?

That's probably logical, for the first TTA video to not have any message that is important to the plot, but a message for trying to work out the videos.

Sorry if it didn't make sense.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. It's as if TTA were telling us to check his videos looking for something reversed. There are multiple TTA videos with reversed, slowed down music, or even voice (Deluge).

Once again, don't take this too seriously because it's probably nothing. Confused

Maybe Alex removed the audio in some videos because he heard TO talk? Or he himself could have said stuff on the tape he didn't want to be reminded of/get out to others.

I don't think Alex is the only one TO can convince to do stuff though, and that the talking is just part of TO's plea.

Not at all, this is the exact reason we started this book club. No one even thought of q codes the first time.

Both of those questions could make sense, am I in/is there danger? Look closely. Though I'm more apt to believe it meaning "Am I reversed? Look closely." since it was his first video he was telling us that they may involve clues from now on.

Perhaps even the creepy song does mean something, and he was hinting to reverse it so we could hear it, then use the letters LOK with something we get from the song? Though this paragraph may be realllly stretching it.

This would be a possibility, there's a totheark video with the missing audio. However it's noted that the timing is a bit off from the original, or it in itself is missing a section. I kinda doubt it, because you'd think we would have gotten the rest of the audio by now, or some further hint that the operator can speak.

I think the audio in Regards sounds more like something when sped up even more:

That's 8x. Anyway, it's just one second so I really doubt it's possible to identify the song or whatever it is. But I think that's the right speed.

This is just amazing. This book club is paying off already.
