Krystyn was kind enough to make a hint that would tell us which clue would lead us towards the missing page. She didn't say where the hint was, but we were able to figure out that it would be somewhere on glitterbook, and Omnie quickly found http://www.glitterbook.com/hint/. Though we came up with the 6 answers fairly quickly, we had no idea as to what to do with them until last night (well, morning for some - don't cry, Omnie), when we figured out http://www.glitterbook.com/hint/table.gif and the rest. Following that, Moriar figured out http://dina.thenekodas.com/papillon.html

That's all, and for the rest you can blame krystynsteveimbrisleepdeprivation

I imagine much of this was done on IRC. Great for interaction, not so good a trail to follow if you're not there.

I know it's not part of the original puzzle, but for piece of mind could someone fill in the blanks.

For example, am I the only one who doesn't know why Amy and Emily give me three hits? Rolling Eyes

Ok, I'll explain the hints and how we arrived at the words.

1. Don't let the loveless ones sell you a world of this color.
This is from a song called "Wrapped in Grey" (an NP on Dina's site). The quote goes "a world of GREY"

2. Amy and Emily give you this many hits.
Amy and Emily are the Indigo Girls. They have a song called "Three Hits"

3. Elvis Costello almost had a weakness over this tragic figure.
He has a song entitled "I Almost Had a Weakness"...the album is The Juliet Letters...hence "Juliet"

4. for I have loved / and so I lost the world...
The next word should be "above" It's a quote from the song "Parades Go By," which is also an NP.

5. Karin Bergquist finds nothing but these sorts of crumbs.
From the song "All I Need is Everything" (another NP), the quote is "table" crumbs.

6. He wrote that "The centre cannot hold."
This is a quote from Yeats. The poem is "The Second Coming"...which also contains the line "turning and turning," incidentally.

Thanks Omnie, much appreciated.

And of course thanks to everyone who contributed to this solution.

Wow, very curious to get an email saying that this thread had been responded to!

Now... what does it actually mean?
