Between Chicago and New Orleans if you drive Howard asks her to drive, not take the train. There is a straight shot between Chicago and New Orleans

Yes, it's one of the first things that was figured out. We still don't know what to do with this information though.
We think the coordinates are contained within the trailer images only.
Just as a refresher, for posterity & since this is a thread called "the numbers!" Here are other numbers we have noticed, not in the trailers images:
4813 (potentially 483)
3.11.16
10 Cloverfield Lane
SE-8149 on a cardboard box in the bunker
O1:58 Time stamp of the first chat on Funandprettythings.com
09:27 On the second chat on Funandprettythings.com
22:36 On the third chat on Funandprettythings.com
4232 On the employee of the month page
4 On the employee of the month page
550 pieces in the Catfish puzzle
70 Radioman
13 Megan's Birthday
8pm on /lifepreservinginformation
1349 09 in Survival game
If you can think of anything else, tell me & I'll edit & update this list.

Sorry to double post but as this is new information incoming I decided not to muddy my previous number hunt one.
A Reddit used has visited a number of the locations implicated by the numbers as coordinates theory, and come up empty.

Nice. Glad someone made the trip . Not sure if MungesKeepeer is reading uF or not, but much respect for taking the trip. The_Stoned_Ape gets props as well for the assist. I can let go of all the crazy fantasies about something on the level of the ST ARG being in the woods somewhere.

The official Instagram was active again with one of those weird gifs that's caption said "You win some, You lose some" - Reddit thinks it was a message to us after coming up empty in Covington.

If this really was a message to us - It means we're right about something and wrong about something else? Gee that's helpful. Man this PM team.
Oh well. We tend to go a bit stir crazy at the end of the week, which is thankfully right about when they drop something new. Fingers crossed for a Thurday update.

It does seem pretty random for it not to be like "nice try", doesn't it. I really really hope it wasn't because we missed something or failed the "numbers puzzle" altogether. This coming down on a Wednesday night makes me feel a little better about them being on a weekly schedule and we'll get an update tomorrow.
So, is that sudoku or a crossword puzzle?

If the newest gif is commenting to us, was the Winnerwinnerchickendinner doing the same? Was there a big breakthrough that the community made right before that appeared?
Also, the dancing gif says "party of one." I didn't think so at the time, but could it be a reference to the missing 1?
Edit: when exactly did someone first post the movie trailer list thing? Was that maybe... six days ago? Maybe that was us winning at the game of life.

It looks kind of like one of those 'game inside' birthday cards you buy for children...they have mazes, crossword puzzles, and things like that (IRL aside - I once got one that had a 'Holly Hobbie' paper doll and clothes, when I was a lil' girl...I couldn't bear to tear my card apart, though).

So I slogged back through the megathread to check, and yeah.

They update with the "#winnerwinnerchickendinner" gif riiiiiiigghht when we first start finding the film frames.
I think those smug bastards are trying to communicate with us. Or taunting us anyways.
I don't know what the dance party of one gif was in reference to - unless it was when we first started talking about really sending someone out into the Bayou? Shit. That might be it. Ugh, but that means there *is* something out there, and we missed it
... Does anyone else feel like this ARG is being run by the fictional serial killer from a procedural crime tv show?
FYI I always felt like she was writing in one of those "which character from Mean Girls are you?" quizes in teen mags. Although I don't know why it's such a lengthy undertaking for her.
Also: nice work Kosmopol. It's interesting how the majority of employess have been hired since the "incident."

Satellite tracking from a selected location Cross post from FAPT thread Apologies for what's going to be a quick post - I'm short of time & can't post direct links b/c I'm on my phone (can't do WebGL). I'm posting here b/c it's relevant to this most recent FAPT update, though it's also relevant to the Numbers/coordinates thread.
There are websites that allow tracking of satellites from a selected location (on the ground). One example is
www.satview.org . You can click on "CHANGE" next to the location and enter a different reference location by Lat/Long coordinates. It will then tell you when the next predicted pass of a selected satellite will occur.
So the obvious next step would seem to be to use the coordinates from the 5 trailer images, but it's not clear which satellite(s) to use. It's also not clear what we would get from that except for dates/times of upcoming satellite passes.
The orbit of SEASAT/SeaSat 1 doesn't really come close to our coordinates (and while it remains in orbit, it's non-functional). NROL 45 (launch designation) is likely Topaz 4 (satellite), though I haven't had a chance to look at this orbit yet.
EDIT: Doubt this info has much to do with this ARG since SEASAT was only functional June 28 - October 10, 1978, but the SAR data is downloadable here: https://www.asf.alaska.edu/seasat/

Thank you, indeed, these persons did huge career in pretty small time after the Incident. Especially Annika Peltier. She's a carrier monster.
The second gif recepted by me as a wink of a Puppet Master (Howard), who enjoys the music and dance, while the others stay beside, slightly disturbed in their soul, confused in their mind and flabbergasted by the strange updates.

There's a "Satellite Time Machine" on this SATVIEW page. May be a valuable tool, although I feel like there's significance for them pointing us at iSat and mentioning the newer satellite.
Okay, there's no way they allowed TPTB to get any sort've marketing tool on that NROL-45, right? Surely this is crazy talk?
