I don't spend my day looking for errors on the board (honestly), but I've stumbled across another one...

I was perusing the Puppet Master Guide thread, when I noticed something odd. Towards the bottom of the index page of threads, http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=8, there are a few starting with the word "Live..." posted by Imbri.

The one called "Live: Launch" claims to be started by Imbri, yet when you go into it, the first post is by Zimbu, and the second by Cather, with nothing from Imbri at all. The thread is here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208.

Another one, "Live: Security", also claimed to be started by Imbri, only contains one post by Putz. The thread is here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=210.

The only proper explanation I can think of would be that a mod/admin deleted the initial post in both threads, but would find this hard to believe given the usual care taken when editting and deleting posts. Or the initial posts were somehow hidden from us normal non-admin users (but I don't see why this would be the case either).

It makes me think that somewhere along the line in the recent MODFest which Spacely has implemented, the messages have got themselves confused. For some reason the phrase "crosslinked message handles" comes to mind, but I really don't know. I'm a a damn good bug finder, but far be it from me to suggest any sort of useful solution Wink I'll leave that to the experts.

Or should that be the hax0rs?!

[Edit: It also does the same thing in the "Live: Interaction" post (by Imbri), and the "Getting Started: Puzzle Development" post, also by Imbri. It doesn't seem to be doing it on posts by any other author! - Fi]

You're right. That's a most strange error. Which I personally blame on the out-of-atmosphere-fish. Razz

Will have to take a look into it once I get back on a better computer.

 		Ok, this isn't a bug, imbri deleted her posts so it still keeps the original author the same, but the post isn't there.

 		Those four posts were an early attempt at making an index in that forum and were just suggestions of things to discuss in those threads. People picked up the ideas and ran with it and I later deleted the placeholders as they really didn't say anything. Nothing exciting really.
