That's what I'm trying at the moment. There's 'in' but no 'out'... 'round' but no 'square'.. it's hard to define opposites for some of these as they have more than one meaning. :/

There's also the possibility that they don't go with opposites, but form phrases?

For example, do you pair 'OVER and UNDER' or, 'OVER and OUT'? 'ABOVE and BELOW' or 'ABOVE and BEYOND'?

 		"round" the preposition does not go with "square". And I wouldn't think of them as opposites anyway - same with along and across.

The preposition "round" is the same as "around" .

Hey sky, could you just specify the filename you tried rather than the whole url? I know it's valuable to rule stuff out, but when when you put in the url, the board automatically converts it to a hyperlink. I scan the the posts my eyes tend to focus in on the urls... only to have my hopes dashed when I read further down Crying or Very sad

Hope this doesn't come off as rude.

The idea being that the solve might be something that "sounds like" the residual preposition(s) after eliminating the other pairs.

 		as far as the pairing...there's problems. one example is:

does "Without" go with "Within" or "With"?

i dont think this is the solution

Looks like a lot of synomyms on the list. Opposite, for example, can be synonymous with beyond, across, about, around, etc.
