I found Something very strange... i asume you know hornchurchstar,
well if you go to http://www.hornchurchstar.com/index.php => weather,
you can see the webcam.
the webcam shows a diffrant picture each day, right? it's in a 7-day loop.
the pictures are:
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day1.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day2.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day3.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day4.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day5.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day6.jpg
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day7.jpg
and then it returns to day1.
however (!) totally bu coincidence i found that there is a day 8:
http://www.hornchurchstar.com/webcam/webcam_day8.jpg
take a look at that picture. what the hell does that mean? why did hornchurchstar create such a picture if the loop never gets to it?
i am totally clueless - what does this mean?

that is strange!
Looks the the same spiral from the weather map and the soul worth assessment.
It has the fibonacci sequence in it too....
1 1 2 3 5 8 13
That kind of spiral is what they call 'a perfect spiral', or something like that.
http://goldennumber.net/spirals.htm
Something to do with the number Phi. I'm not a maths whizz, so I don't really understand it's significance, but the spiral can be seen everywhere in nature.
Maybe we need to be looking on other websites (e.g. sable and shuck) for similar patterns?
On a similar note, the fibonacci sequence comes up in other places too...
The £10,946 reward money..... this is the 21st number in the sequence.
The lottery result numbers.
I think this is significant somehow. But how?

ya... i figered that out fibonacci is a theme in this game.
the spiral is built by this fibonacci.
phi is the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet (21, BTW, is also a fibonacci number).
these themes really anoy me.
this and the 1366 theme keep repeating them selfes but i can't see how is this helpful in the game.
it's not the password to anything i checked.

so PHI is the 21st letter of the greek alphabet.
and 10,946 is the 21st number of the fibonacci sequence.
coincidence? or am i putting 2 + 2 together incorrectly?

ya... and 21 is a fibonacci number too.
problem is - what do we do with this?
and another question -
why is this the 8day?
why did hornchurchstar put it there?
why is this spiral on Marlowe's site, in the picture?
fibonacci is defanetly a theme here,
but we still have many unsolved questions.

to copy the perfect spiral in the assessment test maybe we have to move the mouse/input numbers according to the fibonacci sequence?
the spiral is seen as PURE.
to be pure we have to replicate it....
Jon must have managed it somehow!

correct me if i'm wrong... but don't you have to move the mouse just like an oposite spiral in order to repeat their spiral, in the soul assesment?

I'm not sure, hence I haven't got 100 soul worth yet!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I've been tracing the number 21 through the game:
21st december is the last time Jon left a message in his cache.
21 is the 9th fibonacci number.
21 also appears in the lottery results (no surprise there)
21st number of fibonacci is 10946 (the reward money)
21st letter of the greek alphabet is PHI (-is this in game?)
21 - this is the number of questions you have to answer consequetively in the soul assessment in order to reach the minimum score of 15/9. (i.e. take the test 3 times, and you will always score 15/9 on the third try)(there are 7 questions in the test)
21st Jan - some people have said that this is the pagan new year? (is this true?)
I'll post more when I find them.
My theory is that the marketing behind this game wants us to figure out that 1366 is an IMPURE number (because it is not in the fibonacci sequence, not related to phi etc etc) and therefore fits cleverly with the new slogan 'reassuringly devilish'. 21 however is a PURE number, although it is not a prime number, but it is related to the PURE mathematics of fibonacci and PHI, the golden ratio.
All these numbers are doing my head in! But they MUST lead somewhere.
PS:
Also note this from the hornchurch star:
In the last 24 hours, former handyman Dennis Horen has become the 25 th millionaire in our small community, and like all the others, his wealth has been delivered by Lady Luck herself. Den, 26 , was on his way home from work yesterday afternoon when he stopped to purchase a regular $2 State Lotto ticket at nearby Devil's Peak Multi-Mart.
Slightly odd how the numbers 24,25,26 appear in order? no?

someone else has already covered this, but I can't remember who or in what thread and it doesn't appear on the search function...
so even though it's already been covered, well done for spotting this & it does "show to go you" that we are thinking on same wavelengths... just hopefully thinking on the same ones as the PM's - reckon its their fault if we don't suss the clues, coz we're thinking along logical lines
PS the repetition of number 21 may be important too! - dunno

Yup, and someone did it here
I think we need a new subject called "numbers".
Actually tried starting it above, but it died out somehow.
I aint no numbers-wiz-kid, so you go ahead meak... please?

This entire thread is trout. To much trout to respond to individually, so i'm just going to give the entire thread one big trout and hope that it gets locked.
For those of you not in the know: "trout" is information that has already been discovered and discussed. We frown on posting trout here because it makes the forums a disorganized mess. And who really wants to read topics that have already been covered numerous times?
If you are new to ARGs, or this particular ARG, please first read The Posting Guidelines , then read the thread entitled "Beginners look here" . The "Beginners look here" thread includes a brief S+S plot summary, and points new players towards lots of useful resources like the Sable + Shuck Wiki Guide .
Additionally, please browse through the previous posts when you get a chance. They will show you what's been covered already, how the game has progressed, and give you some valuable insight as to how puzzles have been solved.
If you are unsure whether or not something has been posted already, please use the Search button. It is located at the upper-right corner of every page.
Thanks,
~Slithy

very good.
i'm moving all these details to a new thread called 'numbers' so all numbers information is in one thread instead of being scattered.
you can delete this thread here if you want mr moderator!

We already have a thread that covers that: [THEMES] Fibonacci, Golden Ratio, Marlowe reference at HCS
Why not post it there?
[edit] Thanks Meak, I see that you found an even more appropriate thread to post to than the one I suggested. Good Work!
