[SPEC] Sente's real motives ?
Quote:
For all that we know, it was representatives of this Earth that stole the Cube in the first place. Why should we trust them? Why does Sente refuse to comment to the public regarding his plan,

if i was him and i lost the cube i'd be looking for a scapegoat
humm adds weight to the "should we be helping sente" movement
if we find the cube will we be blamed for stealing it ?

Personally, I am more interested in breaking into PCBC and withdrawing all of their lecks and living it up in Perplex City
You are probably right though. We do not know enough to trust Sente.. however.. we have all been baited by 'a reward'. i.e. If I lost a mysterious artifact that an entire civilisation revolved around, a civilisation you knew nothing about.. would you return it to me if I offered you a reward? Would you know for sure that after I got my mysterious thing back that you could trust me enough to give you a reward? especially if it didn't belong to me personally in the first place?
What gets me the most is.. how does Sente even know it is here??
Quote:
Sente at first assured us that the Cube would be simple to track, and after mere weeks changed his tune, telling us that the Cube had been "transported to Earth" -- of course he can't tell us how it got there -- where it can neither be seen nor recovered....
On the other hand, isn't it terribly convenient that the Cube has been "found"...
Sente has been holding back on information from us.. the people who he has 'enlisted' to return the cube.

Heh heh, reminds of the resistance movement in The Beast. You know I was actually toying with the idea of setting up a sort of outlaw group dedicated to capturing The Cube and having it for ourselves. Something like that might keep the PMs on their toes!

Sente stole the cube for himself and is now pointing the finger at Earth as a scapegoat! He'll enlist our help up till the point at which he can switch the blame us, and then disappear... Crafty man..

i think we're judging him a little too harshly.
so he embezzled
the academy's funds and gambled mostly all of the students' tuition money in Las Perplex, not to mention the ceretin addiction which drove away his friends, family, and pushed him to pawn red-roger his pet-duck, followed shortly by selling the new intern(s) into slavery and combined with the fact he is trying to hold the whole city at ransom, whilst pretending the cube hasn't been down
his pants this whole entire time...
remember we need to trust him, as he's our only link to the entire city. he's probably a very busy man, and in the meanwhile, we can always photoshop his image into wild and zany creations to pass the time.[/dance]
but seriously, might be a tad early to tell, but again, i think some other as yet un-named group stole the cube. perhaps it was an anti-cubist, like our friend the letter-writer.
edit: anyone think we're sitting here waiting for an update that may have already happened -_- guess its spoon feeding time.

I'm down with that. Always wanted a Cube of my own.

Remembering the Beast, there was a time where we had to kinda choose sides. ARM or those for Meca rights. It was more or less a moral choice, nothing that affected gameplay.
We may actually have to choose sides in this one, especially if the cube is a real world object that one of us will posess. What will we do with it?
On a side note, the Beast had 2 updates weekly, I think on Monday and Thursday if I remember correctly. I hope PC follows the same routine!!

At this point, if there is a puzzle on the site and we haven't found it yet, I would blame that on the PMs and not on us. It's not like we're a bunch of idiots.

ILB updated twice a week as well, Tuesdays and Fridays. And we had to choose sides. Sort of.
