[EVENT] Dead Drop 9/24/05 - Providence College

Figured we should have a thread ready to go for the drop, for people to post regarding the drop. Anyone heading out there, with info, please report in here with your findings.

{edit of the thread topic -- per naming conventions [PG2] gets its own brackets; [update] generally means a change to a website, so i've labeled this as an [event], also per the posting guidelines -- catherwood -- edit again, now that we're in our own forum, yay!}

Here are the specifics about the event, as containing in the email described in that post:

2:15 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time zone
Saturday the 24th (originally said the 22nd, but we assume this month of September)
Providence College Campus, Rhode Island, USA

Good plan. Plus, doing *something* helps make the wait seem shorter...

It's almost three, we've got nothing. Seen nothing. Found nothing. Know nothing. Can anyone give us some info? Did we do something wrong? Were we not supposed to be here until after the specified time, and by getting here early we did something wrong?

"Yeah Strike... put it right on the message board by the bus stop. They can't miss it."

"Roger that, thanks FireStorm."

"Np... lol... not like it was hard..."

Oh good. *laughs* I was worried they would give up and leave before they checked the thread again. Thank god for people less shy than me!

Now, what was the drop? *anxiously awaits*

First stuff from the drop

Heucuva picked up a poster and CD from the dead drop. The contents of the CD are temporarily available at xxxx New URLs for the CD later in the thread.

Edit: For those who are having trouble with the download, the zip file is 36 megs, and contains a copy of the Project Gateway 1 website, evidently as it appeared at the end of the game.

We're still awaiting scans of the poster.
