[META] [SPEC] Let's Do the Timewarp Again? Total spec, but in the efforts to bridge the chat interface with the forums, I give you the following:
Quote:
<Silverkun>Well, here's the thing... Mo had the gun. Lucky got the gun. Pikar got the gun sometime in the last 60's for that shooting, the last one with the Gun. Which brings to mind the question of why Lucky gave it up and *still* got it back.
<Si[p]x[cing]> the only other time periods I can think of are the civil war, and when the actual Gun game is set
<Silverkun> And Monteverde hasn't been seen much, but was still portrayed in the picture.
<Silverkun> *nods* And Vietnam. Possibly WWI, but at that point, we're going out of Lucky's lifeline.
<Ariock> (BIG assumption) that means 4 more Live events until the end.
<Ariock> could their be 4 time shifts?
<Ariock> (4 more)
<Ariock> there
<Silverkun> 5, if you include the last session.
<Silverkun> And running with the assumption that each week, we do a new time period.
<Ariock> I am not, because I am assuming LA is the end
<Silverkun> Gods, I hope not...
<Ariock> no more updates, no more nothing after that. Like I said, BIG assumption
<Si[p]x[cing]> when is the last one?
<Ariock> Nov 19
<imbri> yeah, i was thinking about that ariock... wouldn't it kind of make sense to wind up at the same time as the GUN right around the release
Thoughts? Discussions? Peanut Gallery?

I sure hope we never hit the 70's, or I will have to kick the puppetmasters in the SHINS.
I'm not kidding. I'm totally serious.

From Washington we stay in WWII or go back to WWI or forward to 1950's and McCarthyism???
From Atlanta is makes sense to go to Civil War.
From Kansas City I would think Old West.
definitely going back to current time for Los Angeles (since that is also where the story started).

Umm... I see no indication in "Without Rancor (July 12, 1969) " that Maurice shot that particular Nazi with Whitecloud's Colt. He just shot him, plain and simple. No reason to assume that Lucky gave him the Colt for a day.
Also no reason to assume that this was the last Nazi that Maurice shot, or even an unusual occurrence for him. I think of it more as a sample: I imagine that Maurice shot many, many Nazis between 1945 and 2005, as he indicated he planned to in "Lovely German Forests (October 13, 1945) ":
Maurice Pikar wrote:
Maurice cared about killing Nazis. ... Maurice became an expert on all of these. And he became an expert on revenge.
He'd just track them down and shoot them. No one stopped him. No one cared. No one ever told him he'd gone over the line.
I also imagine that Maurice used whatever gun he had handy -- and, as a longtime arms dealer, I expect he probably had plenty from which to choose.

The chain of possesion goes something like this:
Pre-WWII: JEB Stuart
WWII start: Soldier from Nebraska (must have been a distant relative of JEB Stuart if it stayed in the family)
During WWII: Nebraska Soldier dies, Whitecloud gets possesion of the gun with the admonishment: "If it is at a Card game someone dies"
Whitecloud shot by Father Mueller (note: NOT the Colt, it was a Walther Automatic ). Mo Pikar witnesses death, checks Whitecloud, takes the Colt from Whitecloud's body and shoots Father Mueller. Lucky gets the gun from Mo and takes the rap for killing the Priest.
2005: Lucky dies, Lucy inherits the Colt. Robert contacts her about gun. They meet at a cemetery. Robert shot and killed. Clay Sizemore gets the gun from Lucy, hides it in a garden box on his roof. Lucy eventually gets the gun back from the Preacher. Gun then stolen out of William's apartment by Johnny Deuces. Johnny pawns the gun to Toller Fazio. Fazio calles Anthony Viet about the gun, leaves message with Matt Viet. Anthony killed by MacPhereson before getting the message about the gun.
That should be clear as mud.

the Nebraska Soldier "was the son of an Old Nebraska Lawman"
That's from the Dynamic Tension cartoon on Whitecloud's page.

Happy to oblige, Arana!
As a sidenote, I edited out the non-topic information and the timestamps. Otherwise, the handle-tags were tossed in there and the like to allow for proper credit to be applied. Unless requested, I'm gonna keep on doing as such.
Fun stuff...

Spec so wild it's off topic, but
Al Capone's brother was a Nebraska lawman, and his son died in WWII: Two-Gun Hart

Looks like we will find out more about this soon.
Lucky says "Where it was, and who it killed, before it ever got to the War-well, that's a story for next time." In "For Human Lives" on TheDealer page.
I am guessing that "next time" is Saturday.

If the gun was owned by Al Capone's brother that would be very, very cool.
So far with the Gun we have:
Someone (robert e. lee?) ->presents it to JEB Stuart ->unknown -> Nebraska law man -> Son of Nebraska law man -> Johnny WhiteCloud ->Maurice ->Lucky-> Lucy -> Clay ->Lucy -> Johnn Deuces->TollerFazio (Pawn shop)

So who all knows that Toller Fazio has the gun in his shop? Just Johnny Deuces and Matt Viet right?

Yeah, Anthony bought the farm while playing house with his GF. Maybe it is better that Don MacPhereson doesn't find out about the gun. Somehow I get a real greepy feeling when I think about that possibility.
*edit* and a creepy one too.

And anyone who happened to overhear the phone call. Weren't we warned that cell phones aren't safe? Wasn't this a cell call? I remember Matt was working on it, which is why Johnny didn't have the phone.
